" At the cafeteria too, he inquired about that crampled letter from you?"
" It seems that Carl considers you as a close one to him and he seems to care about you too. "
After saying all those things to Zenaida, at last, Ava raised her head from her meal and looked at Zenaida while saying with a serious voice"Zenaida, did you remember that I told you before that don't let your feelings grow more than that because you will be the one to hurt in the end."
Zenaida also looked back at Ava and nodded her head at Ava while saying "Hmm..how could I forget that?"
Ava again said with a serious voice "But now I'm going to say that I could see a little bit hope between you and Carl now. I don't know how Carl thinks about you in his heart. But I could definitely say that if you were to express your feelings to Carl now, may be he would like to try out a relationship with you too."
Zenaida was suddenly taken aback by this sudden statement of Ava. She immediately denied Ava's suggestion "No. I don't think so. A single phone call doesn't mean that Carl will like to try out a relationship with me."
Ava said "Single phone call? That is not the only reason for my suggestion for you to express your love to him."
"Aren't you the only person who Carl always talks first and smiles first?"
" Aren't you the only person who he is taking initiative to sit beside everyday at the club activities in the evening? Doesn't he sit around you yesterday at the cafeteria too? Doesn't he always inquiring about your private matters too despite his usual characteristics?"
"Aren't these reasons enough for you to try to express your feelings to him?" Ava inquired Zenaida while looking at her directly.
Zenaida didn't look directly at Ava and said with a little bit emotional voice while looking down at her plate " Ava, I got what you're saying to me. I have also thought the same as you before. But this is Carl Solveig and I'm afraid to go to that extent with him."
Ava noticed the change in Zenaida's usual tone and she knew at once that Zenaida is truly being afraid of confessing her love to Carl.
Ava asked in a very gentle voice "Zenaida, what are you afraid of? There is nothing to be afraid of at all. Are you afraid that Carl will reject you?"
Zenaida shook her head and said in an anxious voice "I'm not afraid of being rejected by him but I'm afraid that he would never talk or smile to me ever like he is doing now after I confessed to him. What if he was to get mad and distance himself from me. I don't even want to think about that possibility. So, the way we are now, I'm satisfied with it."
Ava stared at the anxious Zenaida who was infront of her while looking down at her plate in front of her.
Why is Zenaida only thinking about these two months?
If she is this much afraid that Carl wouldn't talk or smile with her like he is doing now, what about after the high school ended?
Wouldn't she even get the chance to see each other, if they were to attend different universities after the high school ?
Wasn't she afraid of not getting a chance to see Carl at all in the future?
Ava deliberately suggested Zenaida to confess to Carl in that way because she was well aware about the deepness of the Zenaida's feelings towards Carl. She is so sure that Zenaida would be very heart broken when she didn't get the chance to take a glance at Carl at all after the high school ends.
May be she would go almost crazy without seeing him ever again.
Ava doesn't have any idea how long would it take for Zenaida to forget about Carl completely. Although, Zenaida said that she would able to forget him when she didn't get the chance to see Carl at all after the high school ends.
But according to the deepness of Zenaida's feelings, Ava is so sure that it may be take more than one year. May be it will take few years or may be she wouldn't even able to move from him at all in her whole life.
That is why Ava asked Zenaida to confess to Carl, eventhough there was a little bit hope about they both being together with each other. Ava thought that it is better to try out this little chance than to being heartbroken for years without even confessing her love.
Ava thought that it was okay for Zenaida to being heartbroken sooner or later. It would be atleast okay, if Zenaida doesn't have any regret about not getting a chance to confess her love to Carl.
In that way, Zenaida wouldn't atleast have any regrets in the future, eventhough she didn't get the chance to be together with Carl.
Ava wanted to tell all these things to Zenaida but when she looked at the anxious look on her friend's face, she couldn't bear to say any of these things to her.
Zenaida seems to be only thinking about the high school time. She is only determined to be with Carl until the high school ends. May be, she is thinking that she would able to forget about Carl after the high school ends.
If so, Zenaida is just underestimating her own feelings for Carl.
After the long conversation between Zenaida and Ava, they both started to finish their own meals silently without saying any further words. Ava also didn't say anymore things to Zenaida because she didn't want to make her more anxious than this.
