Carl casually answered to the Roy's inquiry " Just order whatever you want."
" That's all" Roy said to the waiter and then, he turned towards Carl.
Roy stared at Carl for few seconds and asked "You are obviously in a bad mood. Aren't you? What is the reason for that? Is something happened at home?"
Carl casually said "I also don't know why. But since the moment when I get out from my mom's study, I am feeling all annoyed for whatever reason. "
Carl's mom's study?
Aren't they meeting with each other like this once in a blue moon for some important matters?
So, what that woman is up to this time?
Roy has a really bad premonition about this because he could clearly see that Carl is in a really bad mood now.
"So, why did she ask for you to come to her study this time?" Roy asked Carl.
Carl felt that the annoyance in his heart was rising again with this question of Roy. But he casually answered to Roy while suppressing his annoyance with his all strength "To discuss about my marriage. "
Roy was stunned for few seconds with this sudden words of Carl.
Is Carl kidding with him now?
But, he didn't seem to be joking around with him now and also Carl said those words with a very serious voice too.
Roy asked "Did you really mean it?"
Carl said " I'm not clearly in the mood for joking around with you."
Roy realized that Carl really meant what he said awhile ago.
Roy asked Carl with a curiosity filled voice "With whom? Who are you going to have a marriage with? Which family is that girl from?"
"According to what my mother said to me, she attends the same school as me and she is in the same age as me. She told me her name but I can't remember what it was." Carl casually said to Roy.
"Same school as us and same age as us? " Roy murmured to himself while rummaging through his mind to guess who must be this girl who is going to have an arranged marriage with Carl.
Roy finally had a guess in his mind and said out loud "It surely must be Anna Arne. Arne family is the only family which is on a par with the Solveig family. So, according to your mother's nature, she must have definitely choose her as her daughter in law."
Carl said "Yeah. That should be the girl since she is the daughter of the only family which is on a par with our family as you said. "
"Anna is really famous at school and she is known as the school princess at the school. She is a really beautiful girl in appearance but I don't know about her personality that much since I have never interacted with her before. "
Roy told the details of Anna to Carl since he knew that Carl must not be having a single idea of this girl. Carl doesn't even know his own classmates' names, eventhough he has been together with them more than two years.
So, Roy was not that much surprised by Carl's ignorance about Anna's existence at the school. Although almost everyone at the school have heard of atleast the name of Anna. Carl must be the only person who doesn't even know her existence.
But, if Carl didn't even know about this girl, is he going to marry an unknown girl?
Roy had a bad premonition right after he got to know that Carl's mother has asked Carl to come to her study.
So, this was it.
This time, this woman is planning to marry off her own son to an unknown girl to raise the reputation and powerfulness of the Solveig family.
Is Carl only a tool which she can use as she pleases for her own greediness for money and power?
Is she not caring about her own son's happiness?
Is she not afraid that Carl would left all alone in this world, if this marriage is going to be a loveless one?
Carl's life is already miserable because of his mother. Does she want to make it more worse than this?
Is she some kind of enemy in Carl's past life?
Otherwise, how could a parent behave in this way while ignoring their children's wellbeing and happiness?
Roy couldn't really believe it but since this is Carl's mother, he believed that parent could also behave in this way.
Roy is really worried about Carl because he knows very well than the others that Carl is a really lonely person who is carrying his all burden by himself. He is not letting anyone else to get close to his heart. He is keeping every person around him at a certain distance.
But Roy hoped that someday this nature of Carl would change, if he was to fall in love with some girl and decided to open his heart to her. He thought that in that way his friend wouldn't be all alone by himself in this life path.
But if Carl was going to marry an unknown girl in this way for some business purposes, Roy is so sure that Carl would definitely not open his heart for this girl either. He would continue to close his heart until the end.
Roy doesn't want to see his friend ends up being lonely for the rest of his life. He wanted to see Carl being happy.
With that thought, Roy asked "Is that girl okay with marrying a completely stranger as you? Also, aren't you both too much young for a marriage like this?"
Carl said " My mother said that she likes me so much and I'm just going to engage with her right after the high school ends after two months later. The marriage will be held when the both of us wanted to have our wedding. "
Anna likes Carl?
Roy wasn't that much surprised by this because he doesn't believe that there is someone out there who doesn't like to marry Carl.
