Right after sitting on the seat which was right in front of Zenaida, Carl looked at Zenaida who was not paying attention to him at all. Then, he directly looked at the hands of Zenaida.
After looking at Zenaida for few seconds, Ava looked at Carl who was sitting in front of them and she noticed that he was staring at Zenaida's hands.
What is he looking at so intensely?
Is he looking at the small crampled paper which is currently in the hands of Zenaida?
What is about that?
Is it something important?
But it doesn't seem like a something with a value and it is very unsightly too.
Where did Zenaida get it? She didn't carry this kind of thing with her when she left the classroom to come here. She is sure of that.According to the intensity of the Carl's gaze, it shouldn't be some kind of trash.
Ava looked again at the small crampled paper in Zenaida's hand attentively.
It is a pink colour envelope.
Did Zenaida recieved a love letter by someone?
But wasn't she stopped by to talk with Anna? So, what is with this love letter?
But why didn't she mention about this kind of exciting thing to her earlier once she sat beside her?
It is reasonable that she didn't tell her about this because when Carl is around Zenaida, she would forget every other important things. So, this is not a very unusual thing to Ava at all.
Ava was determined to ask about this matter later from Zenaida.
But why Carl is staring at this love letter?
Is he also curious about it too?
But he isn't the type to care about other's matters at all. So, what is wrong with his staring now?
Did she notice it wrong?
May be that is it.
Ava started to eat her food again little by little.
Carl who was staring at Zenaida's hands able to identify that it was a pink colour envelope just by a one glance.
Was Zenaida has received a love letter from someone? Was she thinking about that person mindlessly awhile ago? Even now, she is staring at the letter without looking anywhere else ?
She seems to care about this person so much because she haven't even notice his presence around her since he came and sat here.
Who should be that person who could take her attention in this way?
Carl stared at Zenaida's behaviour for few more seconds before he started to talk to her with a serious voice.
"Zenaida Carnell, are you going to eat that for your lunch?"
Zenaida who was pretending all along as she didn't notice Carl's presence at all, raised her head at once after hearing the her name which was coming out of Carl's mouth. She really likes it when Carl is saying her name with his deep voice. It is a melody to her ears.
But why is he saying a joke with a serious voice. But Zenaida's didn't think about that much and answered Carl while pretending to notice him now.
" Carl!!!"
" I didn't notice you at all. When did you come here? "
Zenaida lied to Carl without batting an eye.
Ava looked at Zenaida with a dumbfounded expression on her face.Wasn't she staring at Carl like crazy before? She didn't expect her best friend to be this good at acting.
Zenaida felt Ava's gaze on her and she was also able to guess what kind of face was she making at her now but Zenaida ignored her and continued to look at Carl.
Carl said to her " I came and sat down here a few minutes ago. Your all attention was on that letter. So, you didn't notice me at all."
Zenaida felt a little bit guilty about her actions in her heart but she didn't show it infront of Carl.
Carl again asked Zenaida " Is that a love letter? You seem to like that person a lot. Are you going to say yes to him later?"
Zenaida was taken aback by the sudden questioning of Carl and she was reminded of her task of delivering the Anna's letter to Carl. She looked at the unsightly letter in front of her.
How could she give this kind of unsightly letter to him? What if Carl throws it away, because it looks like trash.
Anna must have put so much effort in to this letter. She couldn't waste her effort by giving this letter to Carl now.
What should she do now?
