I woke up to the sound of the first school bell. It isn't the school starting bell but a reminder to get up and ready for class. I like it because I have a hard time waking up by myself. Well, I could fix it if I wanted to, to be honest.
Yesterday, I had the best sleep of my life. Don't you know why? Then read the last chapter, people. Well, anyway, today is my first day at the academy. I'm sure that there will be many areas for us to study. So I thought of giving myself a convenient power. You guessed it... Maybe not; The one I got is [[[Eidetic Memory]]].
Even in my previous life, I didn't like studying much. Loads of books without end. But with this skill, most of my problems would be solved. If it becomes harder to manage only with memory, I must add some extra abilities. However, that would be for a later date to think over.
After giving myself the skill, I took a soap bar and a toothbrush from my bag and entered the bathroom. The bathroom had a toilet, shower, and bathtub. Strangely, there weren't any taps. After some experimentation, I found that the orbs inserted into the ceramics act as the tap. One press activates it, and another makes it stop.
After I took a look at them through my [[[Analysis]]] skill: Magic orb(Enchanted) was displayed. There was much information about the complex runes used. The orbs in the shower and bathtub also had heating and cooling functions. Talk about extravagance. Alex thought to himself while thinking how poor he was before. Now with Alpha, nothing is impossible.
After fulfilling all my physical needs, I opened the clothes cupboard where I kept my school uniform. The uniform was made of comfy cloth. The usual long pants, white long-sleeved shirt, and black jacket were there. On the pocket was a magical interface displaying your year and other information like elite class and whatnot. The shoes were also black with a silver shoelace. It looked somewhat eccentric but fashionable nonetheless.
Finally, I put on my school uniform, got the necessary books and bag, and opened the door. Surprisingly, I was met with Clara waiting for me in my front garden. She was sitting on the bench with Esther. Well, forming relations with Clara is essential from everyone's standpoint, as she is a triple ability holder. Not counting me, of course.
"Good morning Clara and Esther," Alex said with a smile.
"How long have you been sitting there?"
They stood up, seeing Alex come towards them. Ester adjusted her hair before replying;
"We just came here, Alex. Wanna join us?"
"I'll take you up on that offer then."
By the time the trio walked out of Alex's place, they had noticed others leaving their respective houses. After exchanging pleasantries, they also started walking toward the classes. There weren't any problems finding directions to the classes because of the map function of the student ID card. Otherwise, it would have taken hours for them to find their way through such an extensive place.
While walking, Alex looked at the surroundings curiously. There were so many things he hadn't seen before. He even used his [[[Analysis]]] skill quite a few times. It never failed to surprise him. The whole university would be best described as a futuristic university that runs on magical energy. The best world for the technology used would be magical engineering.
Not only Alex but also all the princes and princesses were keenly observing the surrounding buildings and technology. Especially Clara was flabbergasted. Alex asked Esther why even she looked surprised since she was related to the school principal.
Esther revealed to Alex that the outer influences, kings or nobles, couldn't exercise any authority over the university. She said that queen Astoria wanted to make the university a place free of discrimination and political agenda. Therefore, to achieve that, she brought a system to the university where everything depended on merit.
"Even I couldn't get any preferential treatment, although she is the principal," Esther sighed.
Now Alex greatly admired Queen Astoria, as she doesn't suppress others depending on their birth and gives first place to talents. But Alex understood that weakness has no place in the academy because everything here depends on the work one puts into it.
Everyone walked for 10 minutes to finally reach the elite class. They noticed so many students on the way that they couldn't count. There were even minor races that were not easily seen. All of this attested to the influence of the university.
Their class was in a separate building from the standard classes. It wasn't big or small and had a majestic look to it.
Viessa took the lead and entered the classroom along with Tarron. Others 9 people also followed them into the class. The inside was spacious, and the furniture looked terrific, including desks and chairs. From this, everyone could see that they were more privileged than others. They were proud of it as they earned it through their own abilities.
Ester, Clara, and Alex sat together in the front row. Rurgit sat next to Alex after exchanging greetings. Following that, others also took their seats.
Suddenly a woman emerged through the wooden floor, staring at everyone. She looked enchanting. She had a green glow from head to toe, except for her eyes, which were golden. Her dress looked like it was made from leaves and flower petals.
"Good morning, dear elite class students; I am your homeroom teacher, Olivia Verna."
"Before you ask anything, 'yes', I am a dryad.
And 'no', I don't always have a green glow. I just did it for fun."
She took a seat while smiling at the students, who were still shocked at the sudden events.
