Laying on her bed, Sarang continued searching for clues on Michael's profile when her eyes landed on his friend list. As she clicked through his list of girlfriends, her eyes fell on a familiar face - Arthur Meadow.
She clicked on his profile and was surprised to see how much he had changed since middle school. In his profile picture, he was shirtless and sweaty, showing off his toned abs in a gym. Sarang accidentally clicked the "like" button, and a few minutes later, she received a message from Arthur.
"Are you stalking me, miss?" he joked.
Sarang felt her heart race as she received Arthur's reply. She couldn't help but roll her eyes at his flirtatious comment. "No, I'm not stalking you. I was just going through Michael's friends list," she typed back, trying to keep her tone casual.
Arthur responded with a smirk emoji. "Ah, I see. So what did you think of my pictures? Impressive, huh?"
Sarang couldn't help but blush a little at the compliment. "Yeah, very impressive. You've definitely changed a lot since middle school."
Arthur chuckled. "Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"
Sarang smiled. "I don't know, maybe both. You were pretty cute back then, but now you're... well, you're definitely not a little kid anymore."
Arthur's reply came quickly. "Are you saying you have a crush on me, Sarang?"
Sarang rolled her eyes again, but couldn't help but feel a little flattered by the attention. "No, I'm not saying that. I barely remember you from middle school."
Arthur sent back a winking emoji. "Well, that's a shame. Maybe I'll have to remind you of what you've been missing all these years."
Sarang couldn't help but laugh at his confidence. "Good luck with that, Arthur."
As they continued to chat, Sarang couldn't shake the feeling that she knew him from somewhere. It wasn't until Arthur mentioned that he had gone to the same middle school as her that she realized he was the same guy she had bumped into near the school gate.
"Wait, you're Arthur Meadow? The one I ran into the other day?" Sarang typed out in surprise.
Arthur's reply was filled with amusement. "Ah, so that's why you were so easy to flirt with. You already knew me."
Sarang felt her cheeks flush with embarrassment. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize. It's been a long time since I've seen you."
Arthur teased her again. "Well, I can make it up to you. How about we grab a drink sometime and catch up on old times?"
Sarang hesitated, unsure if she wanted to spend more time with this guy who seemed to be nothing more than a player. But then she remembered her mission to uncover the truth about Michael's death. Maybe Arthur could provide some answers.
"Sure, a drink sounds good," she typed out, trying to hide the excitement in her voice. "When were you thinking?"
Arthur responded quickly. "How about tomorrow night? I know a great little place downtown."
Sarang hesitated again, feeling the weight of the decision she was making. But then she took a deep breath and hit send. "Okay, tomorrow night it is."
