Good Hills High School in Kyoto had always been a popular school. It was a place where students from different backgrounds came to learn and grow. However, there was one student who was a little different from the rest. Her name was Ayaka and she was a twin.
Ayaka and her sister Ayumi were inseparable. They did everything together and were always by each other's side. They were the talk of the school and everyone knew who they were.
One day, Ayumi started dating a boy named Toyoma. He was charming and handsome, and Ayumi fell for him instantly. However, Ayaka didn't like him at all. She felt that he was taking her sister away from her.
As the relationship between Ayumi and Toyoma grew stronger, Ayaka became more and more distant from her sister. She didn't want anything to do with Toyoma and was always trying to keep her sister away from him.
One night, Ayumi and Toyoma had a big fight. Ayaka heard everything from her room, but she didn't intervene. She knew that her sister had to work things out on her own. However, things took a turn for the worse when Toyoma lost his temper and killed Ayaka.
After the incident, Ayumi was devastated. She couldn't believe that her boyfriend had killed her sister. She was in a state of shock for weeks and couldn't bring herself to talk to anyone.
Five years later, Ayumi and Toyoma got married. They moved into a new house and started their life together. However, things were not as perfect as they seemed.
Ayaka's ghost had come back to haunt them. She was angry and wanted revenge. Ayumi and Toyoma heard strange noises at night, and their belongings would move without any explanation. They knew that something was not right.
One night, Ayumi woke up to find Ayaka's ghost standing at the foot of her bed. She was pale and had a cold, angry look on her face. Ayumi was terrified and didn't know what to do.
Ayaka's ghost spoke to Ayumi, telling her that she was angry and wanted revenge for her death. She blamed Ayumi for choosing Toyoma over her, and for not protecting her from him.
Ayumi was filled with guilt and regret. She knew that her sister was right, and that she had made a mistake. She tried to apologize to Ayaka's ghost, but it was too late. The ghost was too angry and wouldn't listen to her.
As the days passed, Ayumi and Toyoma's lives became more and more difficult. They were always on edge, and couldn't relax in their own home. Ayaka's ghost was always there, watching them and waiting for the right moment to strike.
One day, Ayumi had had enough. She decided to seek the help of a priest who specialized in exorcisms. He came to the house and performed a ritual to banish Ayaka's ghost.
The ritual was successful, and Ayaka's ghost was finally gone. Ayumi and Toyoma were relieved and grateful for the priest's help. They knew that they would never forget what had happened, but they could finally move on with their lives.
From that day on, Ayumi made a promise to herself that she would never forget about her sister. She would always remember the good times they had together, and would honor her memory in everything she did. Ayumi knew that Ayaka's ghost would always be with her in spirit, but she was finally at peace.
Years went by, and Ayumi and Toyoma continued to live in the same house where they had once been haunted by Ayaka's ghost. They had both moved on with their lives and had started a family together. They had two children, a boy and a girl, who were both growing up to be happy and healthy kids.
One day, Ayumi was cleaning out some old boxes in the attic when she stumbled upon a photo album. She opened it up, and inside were pictures of her and Ayaka from when they were young. Ayumi sat down and looked through the album, feeling a mix of sadness and nostalgia.
As she flipped through the pages, she came across a photo of Ayaka and herself at their high school graduation. Ayumi remembered that day vividly. It had been one of the happiest days of her life. She and Ayaka had been excited to start their adult lives and explore the world together.
But as Ayumi looked at the photo, she couldn't help but feel a pang of regret. She knew that she had made a mistake by choosing Toyoma over Ayaka. She knew that she should have listened to her sister and kept her distance from him.
As the years had gone by, Ayumi had tried to make up for her mistake by being the best sister she could be to Ayaka's ghost. She had made peace with her, and had learned to live with the haunting.
But looking at the photo now, Ayumi realized that there was one thing she had never done: she had never apologized to Ayaka for what had happened. She had never told her sister how sorry she was for not protecting her.
Ayumi knew what she had to do. She got up from the attic and went to the living room, where she found a picture of Ayaka on the mantle. She sat down in front of it and began to talk.
"Hey, Ayaka," she said. "It's been a long time, hasn't it? I just wanted to say how sorry I am for what happened to you. I know I should have protected you, and I didn't. I chose Toyoma over you, and I regret that every day."
Ayumi paused and took a deep breath. "I hope you can forgive me, Ayaka. I know I can never make up for what I did, but I promise to always honor your memory and keep you close to my heart. You were the best sister anyone could ask for, and I miss you every day."
As she finished speaking, Ayumi felt a sense of peace wash over her. She knew that Ayaka's ghost was listening, and that she had heard everything she had said. She felt as though a weight had been lifted off her shoulders, and she knew that she could finally move on.
From that day on, Ayumi lived her life with a new sense of purpose. She kept Ayaka's memory close to her heart, and made sure to always honor her sister in everything she did. She knew that Ayaka's ghost was still with her in spirit, but she was no longer haunted by her. She was at peace, and she knew that Ayaka was too.
But one day, as Ayumi was drying her clothes, she saw her sister Ayaka holding their children and smiling and says now they are mine. Ayumi ran in fear to find her kids but could not find them, as she returned, she was shocked to see her house was on fire and both her kids and her husband who just returned were caught in the fire. Ayumi cried for help but could not save them, she could only hear their screams and watch as the house burns.
