Draig rummaged through the abandoned rooms and was pleased to find that food items were stackable within the inventory, he was also able to gain another trade for his troubles.
{Pillager level 1- User is able to find something of minor use in otherwise barren areas}
The trade didn't grant any special gear which was disappointing but reasonable, though all his stats now sat at three thanks to the boost from the trades. Draig was learning more than he bargained for about his class and had come to realize that for every trade he was able to learn he would gain a plus one to his stats. It was a decent way to balance out the fact he couldn't focus his points into a stat to specialize.
------------
Looking at his scout he was able to see that the world event was still going, he wondered how long it would last. Luckily with the boost in his stats came the boost in stamina allowing him to continue forth despite the fatigue he felt from the headache before.
Draig feeling refreshed, equipped a short sword and a small shield intending to push forward. However he didn't know how to proceed, pulling the Scout once again and feeling a bit embarrassed about his eagerness, he clicked on the jobs icon and checked the information for the event as it was the only one available.
{World Event: The Basics- The Door to the Dungeon seals behind you trapping you inside, descend to the lowest level to escape. Defeat as many opponents as possible for a special reward, reward based on contribution. Enemies slayed 0/???.}
{Optional: Loot the dungeon- Completion will grant its own rewards./ Defeat Dungeon Boss- descend to the bottom level and Slay the Dungeon boss.| Possible Reward-Title: ???, ??? Summoning, Rare Weapon./ Rescue Fellow Adventurers- It's nothing to be ashamed of but some adventurers don't always have such a heroic beginning. Care to give them a hand in writing their legend?| Reward: Renown}
--------------
Draig looked at the Optional parts of the quest and didn't see a problem in trying to do the first or third, it was something that could be done on the way down as long as he was careful. Plus maybe he could collect some more skills and trades along the way like this.
However he didn't want to think about trying to fight a dungeon boss, not this early at least. Actually now that he was thinking about it...
'How deep does the facility go?' wondered Draig as he looked around.
-------
He was keeping an eye out for any weapons and Scouts along the way hoping to increase his toolbox storage again, which actually lead him to wondering about the difference in Scouts. His was similar to a cellphone but from he had seen so far they could be a Book, a Scroll, and a Eye. The last one was odd but he had picked up a couple of them from the ground which was still a mystery he was trying to figure out.
He was brought from his thought's however by the chittering of goblins as well as the sounds of a struggle and panic, turning a corner he was welcomed by the sight of a large goblin with a wicked looking axe attempting to dismember a group of users. There was five of them at the moment with the brawny man taking the brunt of the attacks while the others tried to fend off attacks from the smaller goblins.
'Well looks like I can passively complete these quests after all' thought Draig as he raised his hand.
"Fireball" cried Draig causing the Large Goblin to get distracted and turn it's head taking the attack straight to the face causing it to squeal in pain before retreating causing the lesser goblins to lose their courage.
The group turned to see Draig standing there awkwardly, the Master Jack not being one for socializing often just read the work manuals for the jobs in the higher sections, these pertaining to engineering, mechanics, maintenance, etc...
This being said he didn't know what to say in this situation.
"Thank you stranger." greeted the brawny man with a smile.
"Oh, yeah no problem." smiled Draig awkwardly.
"So uh... you heading down below..." asked the brawny as he now wore an awkward smile from the simple response.
"I am, you should all do the same quickly." nodded Draig, as he intended to go to the stair case, they were set up at opposing ends of each level which made it a hassle for those who weren't on sanitation to use.
"Would you like to come with us?" asked the brawny man with a friendly smile.
"I'm actually taking the stairs, if you want to escape quickly then you should use the elevator." explained Draig causing the brawny man to smile brightly.
"We're taking the stairs too." laughed the Brawny man as he looked at Draig in an appraising manner.
"It is okay my friend, I understand completely. I, too, am afraid of elevators." whispered the brawny man as he pulled Draig close.
"I'm not scared of the elevator, I just want to have a good start when I get out of this dungeon. Have you not checked your Scouts?" asked Draig causing the group to look confused.
"What is a Scout?" asked the Brawny man.
Draig pulled out his Scout to show them and the group seemed to understand.
"This is my DM, or Divine Manual" explained the brawny man as he presented a tome.
"This is my Oracle." explained a girl with white hair as she pointed to one of her eyes.
The rest of the group also possessed similar tomes.
'Interesting so it seems they come in three versions but why the difference?" wondered Draig as he tried to piece together what the meaning behind this was.
'I'll figure it out later.' sighed Draig as he looked at the group.
"Alright lets move to the next floor before big ugly comes back." called Draig bringing the group to nod in agreement.
