------Second Floor-----
Draig and the others had managed to make it to the second floor, upon reaching it they were welcomed to an empty floor. Not an enemy in sight oddly enough, this allowed them to quickly make their way to the third floor.
-----Third Floor-----
It was on the Third Floor that Draig decided they should take a rest.
"You all can rest here and we can continue after, in the meantime I'll go look ahead." announced Draig causing the group to look uncertain.
"That sounds suspicious, you still haven't introduced yourself either." commented a dark haired youth at the back.
"I don't recall you giving your names during all this, anyways if that's all. I'll be going ahead" stated Draig as he started walking away.
-----------
Draig was actually going to check some things out, he knew a bit but he wanted to experiment and see just what kind of trades and skills he could create just by trying. That in mind he started doing an odd assortment of tasks, he found some paperclips in the office section of this floor and started fiddling with locks until he got the lockpicking Skill. After fiddling with more locks he managed to get it to level 3 however he only received a boost to every stat upon first acquiring the skill.
Now he had three points sitting in his character menu, unusable until he could boost each stat at the same time. Sighing he started rummaging through paperwork in the Boss's office of this floor, he was hoping to unlock a trade like spy or thief, he would even settle for burglar if he was honest but after rummaging and reading through papers he only acquired another skill a passive called Business Acumen.
{Business Acumen Level 1: the most basic level of knowledge on business dealings.}
The skill granted a one point boost to all of his stats putting him at five points each, after a bit of time he gave up on looking any further. He had been hoping to find a map or directory but it seemed this wasn't the right floor, Draig was at the bottom of sanitation which meant he sorted the trash into junk and recyclables, meaning he never got the opportunity to delve into the lower levels but he had heard enough to know that at some point the floors would start expanding to give the people more space and more leisure activities which would make it harder to navigate through each floor.
------
Draig returned to the group deep in thought, so much so he wasn't paying attention to the group's attitude.
"Look who decided to return, finished setting up your ambush?" commented the dark haired youth with the others looking at Draig equally suspicious.
"If that is how you feel then so be it, I wish you all the best." sighed Draig as he left causing the dark haired youth to falter.
However it was too late, the master jack had already had his own misgivings and he didn't really have the need to sit and watch them to learn their skills in particular. He was certain that the deeper he went the more opportunity he would have to learn others skills while doing as much as he could to contribute to the event.
-------4th floor----
Draig was once again greeted by an empty floor, not bothering to rummage around he made his way to the stairs. Though as he expected the floors were already getting bigger, he began to consider the elevator until he came upon the door for the stairs.
It was quite... different. it had various warnings all over it now and just outside a mysterious figure in a cloak waited.
----------
"Welcome traveler, would you care to take a look at my wares?" came a unexpectedly cheerful old voice.
"I don't think I have any money?" smiled Draig awkwardly, however as he said this he got a notification on his Scout.
{500 Dinc added/ Dinc is the currency of the new world and can be earned in various ways, collecting and selling monster Drops, completing quests, selling or trading gear, looting dungeons, Etc.}
"I stand corrected, allow me to look at your wares." smiled Draig as he came closer to the merchant.
"Of course." nodded the old cloak.
Suddenly his Scout buzzed alerting him to another notification.
{Merchant Trade request. Accept?: Yes/No}
Draig quickly hit yes and suddenly his screen went white before turning into a catalogue of sorts.
He saw several familiar items in the form of rations and potions, however what caught his eyes was the sword.
{Frostmore- A blade enchanted with the freezing nature of winter imbuing your strikes with the powers of ice: 700 dinc}
Draig looked at the price and felt a bit cheated at being so close.
"Do you happen to buy items as well?" asked Draig as he did pick up a great many items from the initial slaughter.
"Depends what you have." came the contemplating tone.
{Initiates sword- A light blade perfect for those who are just beginning to fight: 35 dinc} sold
The master jack couldn't believe the low pricing but sighed as he swiped through some other items.
{Darkblade- A dagger born from the shadows themselves, it is a nasty little blade causing a random assortment of evil affects. Curse, Poison, Bleed, or Blindness has a low chance of randomly applying an effect: 200 dinc}
Draig swiped over that one in particular, it seemed like it was something he should keep.
{Recruits shield- a basic shield given to all recruits.: 20 dinc} sold
{Butchers apron- A blood soaked apron that reeks of death: 5 dinc} sold
{Barbarians Heavy set- A mountainous set of armor not to be worn by the feeble: 100 Dinc} sold
Draig paused at that, what was the correlation in the pricing?
Seeing the confused and frustrated look the merchant chuckled but said nothing more.
{Cobblers shoes- handcrafted footwear; 5 dinc} sold
{Merchants broach- Allows wearer to use the Merchant class abilities: 3800 dinc}
Draig noticed the vendor in front of him seemed to become excited which made him instantly get rid of the idea of selling it.
"You wish." scoffed Draig as he scrolled to the next items in line.
The vendor bristled a bit but said nothing.
{Reading Glasses- Allows user to read languages and enchantments unknown: 300 dinc}
'Some of those guys had some really good stuff' noted Draig as he tried to find some more ordinary items.
After some time he had managed to cull his inventory and it had decreased drastically as he only had the previous items he had kept and two others.
[Current Dinc- 2500}
Looking at the amount Draig smiled and then went to purchase Frostmore, only to receive a shock as the price had increased.
"Hey why did you increase the price?" demanded Draig as the blade now sat at 1100 dinc.
"Don't like it you can leave." chuckled the little merchant causing Draig to narrow his eyes but he wouldn't tempt fate despite how much he wanted to clobber this little thing.
"Suit yourself." answered the master jack as he closed the trade menu and turned to leave.
"Where are you going!? Are you not going to purchase anything?" demanded the cloaked merchant.
"Not interested in doing bad business." answered Draig as he walked to stairs ignoring the frustration of the merchant. Besides he already got what he wanted as he put his glasses back in his inventory.
{Freezing Kata passive unlocked}
This gave him yet another point he could use, though he was trying to decipher the difference between certain skills he received giving more points where as this time he only received one. It was something he would investigate in the future but swiping the rest of his notifications he dropped to the next floor.
