USA-Gotham City-2027
Somewhere, in downtown Gotham City, a massive, shadowy figure was seen running from something, or someone. It was a wanted villain and serial killer, known as Bane. He was once a biochemist, who, following an accident with a few chemicals, was mutated into a large, monstrous form with severe anger issues. Although wasn't he supposed to be locked up in Blackgate Penitentiary?
Well, yes. But this bastard isn't exactly known for being contained easily, or for a long period of time for that matter.
He was being pursued by a figure, who had a familiar symbol on their chest. A symbol, which has become very well-known in the 26 years it's been active. A bat.
During the chase, Bane punched a truck, which in turn, accidentally rammed a car, containing a father and his son.
Reacting quickly, Batman shot two hooks with his grappling launcher, securing the car to the bridge.
"Quickly! Take my hand!", He yelled, as the two nodded and took his hand. Quickly shooting his grapple to a column of the bridge, Bruce swung away with the two, landing safely a few feet away. The car was also pulled back onto the bridge.
Nodding at the two civilians, Batman disappeared, continuing his pursuit of Bane.
Despite the Dark Knight's efforts, Bane managed to escape.
Back In The Batcave-Two Hours Later
Bruce was at the computer, continuing the search. He was using different facial-recognition algorithms, thermal imaging, and satellite tracking; but there was still nothing.
A bunch of newspaper articles and self-written data were on the wall.
There was one titled "Chemical Accident At Gotham Research Systems! -Head Scientist Missing!"
A chemical fire broke out in the lab on May 13th, 2017. It was laid by Nightclaw. A then mysterious criminal, who wanted to cause mass panic and have a big confrontation with the Batman.
The scientist was exposed to some chemicals, which fell on him and mutated into a nearly unstoppable monster, known as "Bane".
"Bane, were the hell, are you?", He thought.
Suddenly, a weak signal appeared from the dam in the west end of the city. There was a high level of toxic energy present in the area.
"I've got you now."
At The Gotham City Dam-1:30 am
As Batman arrived at the scene, officers of the Gotham City Police Department were already hard at work, clearing the civilians out of the area, along with locking everything down.
Meanwhile on top of the dam, Batman and Bane were fighting.
Bane tried to punch the Dark Knight in the chest, but he dogged, countering with an uppercut, that sent the venom-powered broot to the ground, as Batman administered the antiserum. Officers of the Police Department's SWAT team immediately arrived to arrest him.
Batman nodded at the officers, before shooting his grappling hook onto a column and disappearing.
