The early morning sunbeams through the overcasting clouds, heating the humid air. The trees of Osaka Park bathe in the sunlight and absorb the surrounding moisture. Underneath the trees, in their shade, sitting, overcome by feelings of heatstroke, the large group of students and teachers wait for the tour of Osaka Castle Park.
Yon, along with his friends, sits on some nearby benches underneath the tree's shade.
"Why is it so hot?" Yon asks everyone.
"Well, it is the middle of summer." Sam answers him.
Yon and Kanna sit back to back, both sweating profusely. Sam and the others all look at them, thinking the same thought.
"They don't go outside much, do they?"
Yon stands up, loosening his school shirt to cool off.
"I'm going to get us some water."
Kanna shakes her head in agreement as Yon wanders off for water. The refrigerated vending machine makes a humming noise, and the glass fogs up because of the humidity. Yon has his face pressed up against the glass, trying to cool off. He shakingly lifts his wallet from his back pocket, pulling out five hundred yen for eight bottles of water.
He holds all eight bottles tightly against his chest, enjoying how cold they are. He smiles with relief and makes his way back to the group. Everyone else has now loosened their collars and is fanning themselves frantically with their guidebooks.
Kanna, fanning herself with her eyes closed, opens them to Yon, handing her a water bottle. He smiles at her with sweat running down his cheek. She smiles back, taking the water.
"Thank you."
Kanna twists the cap off and begins downing the water. Yon hands out the rest of the water to the rest of their friends. Ereen, who has been sitting with her eyes closed for quite some time, opens one eye to see Yon handing her a bottle of water. She scoffs, taking the water and turning away.
"Don't expect any thanks."
Yon gives her an annoyed look but is too hot to care. He walks away, while Ereen frantically uncaps the water bottle and drinks the water so fast, she chokes a little. Yon gives Sam and Lincoln water next, both of them happy and enjoying the heat.
"What do you mean, it's hot? This is great!"
"Yeah! I love weather like this."
"These two are freaks..."
Yon looks around for a moment, noticing that Kareen and Maka are nowhere to be seen.
"Hey Sam, where's Kareen and Maka?"
"Hmm? Oh yeah."
She downs some water quickly.
"Ah! Yeah, they're running late, apparently. Kareen sent me a message this morning. Just give me those two water bottles, and I'll give them their water."
Yon smirks and gives her a suspicious look, and whispers under his breath.
"You and Lincoln will probably drink them."
"What was that?"
"Nothing! Here you go."
Yon hands over the water bottles, ready to fall over from heatstroke. He once again wanders off, looking like a zombie. He makes it over to Yui, who is sitting by herself on a bench. Yon stumbles over and plants himself aggressively on the bench, scaring Yui.
"Ah- Oh. Yon, it's you. Are you ok?"
"Uhhhh." Yon groans.
Yon looks over at her, a creepy look on his face, unable to speak words.
"Yon...?"
"UHHHH!"
Yui scoots over some, a little freaked out.
"Um, you're kinda freaking me out."
Yon throws his hand up quickly, scaring Yui. She closes her eyes and flinches. Yui opens her eyes slowly and notices it's just a bottle of water. She takes the bottle of water and looks at Yon, who has now fallen against the wall.
"Yon! Oh my gosh!"
Yui frantically opens up the bottle of water and drizzles it into Yon's mouth. After a moment, he comes too.
"Sorry about that Yui... I got a little too hot."
"It's ok! I thought you were a zombie at first. You looked awful."
"Hehe, yeah..."
Yon sits embarrassed that he passed out from the heat, but more so that he looked so ragged, Yui thought he was a zombie. The two sit silently for a moment, sipping on the water Yon purchased for them.
"Thank you for the water."
"It's no big deal. We're all boiling."
"Yeah... It's just nice you care that much about all of us."
"It's nothing special. My mother always said to be kind to others... She was nice like that..."
Yon frowns and looks down, his demeanor suddenly becoming really down. Yui notices this sudden change and goes to comfort him but before she can, Yon suddenly puts on a fake smile and sits up.
"Anyway! It sure is hot. I wonder when the tour will start."
"Oh, yeah... it's taking them a long time."
Yui wonders what bothered Yon so suddenly at that moment. She stares at him, concerned there could be something wrong. A loud voice coming from a megaphone suddenly echoes through the entire area.
"Utopia College students! Please make your way over to the entrance of Osaka Castle. The tour will begin soon!"
Yon stands up with Yui, both of them looking at each other. Yon smiles at her.
"Good thing we're already grouped up."
Yui smiles back, happy to see he isn't upset.
"Yeah!"
The two walk to the entrance together as everyone groups up in front of the Osaka Castle entrance. Meanwhile, Kareen and Maka are running through Osaka Park, late for the Castle tour.
"I can't believe how late we are! What happened? Maka, you were supposed to make sure we woke up on time, not oversleep!"
"I-I'm sorry... I was up late last night."
"It's fine, just come on! We can't be late!"
Maka, who is running behind Kareen, stares at her, watching as Kareen's hair flows with the wind as they run. She can't help but take an interest in her skirt rising and falling, revealing her upper thighs. She blushes and drools a little.
"I know I should have gone to bed, but you're just so perfect to stare at Kareen."
Just as this thought passes, a sudden brisk wind picks up Kareen's skirt, revealing a very lewd angle for Maka. She gets a brief view of Karen's panties, causing her face to turn pure red.
"Pink! Pink! They're pink!"
Maka smiles creepily and drool slides down from her mouth.
"Hehe, panties. Kareen's panties."
"Huh? Did you say something, Maka?"
"Hmm? Oh! No! Just excited for the Castle is all!"
The two continue running for the Osaka Castle, Maka fantasizing about Kareen's panties. They make it just in time, as the group of students are entering the building. They both stop for a moment at the entrance to catch their breath.
"I can't... feel my legs..."
"Yeah... ugh... me either..."
After some time catching their breath, the two girls enter the building, fixing their uniforms and hair as they walk. They stand in the very back, barely able to hear the tour guide talk about the historical features of the Osaka Castle.
"I can barely hear them."
"Well, that wouldn't be an issue if someone would have woken us up on time!"
"I'm sorry..."
"It's no big deal. I have an idea anyway."
Kareen takes Maka by her hand and suddenly drags her along.
"W-Where are we going?"
"Somewhere better than here."
Surprised by Kareens sudden pushful nature, Maka follows a little hesitantly, while Kareen pulls her by the hand. Maka can't think straight, as a dream of hers is coming true. Kareen is actually holding her hand. She blushes and bites her lip in excitement. The two girls head up the castle stairs.
"I've been here before, so I know all the best spots."
"Oh ok."
Maka continues to focus on her hand.
"Her skin is so soft!"
Maka forms a creepy grin, and a perverted look takes over in her eyes. She huffs, her heart beating faster and faster with every passing second the two hold hands. Just when she is about to pop, the two reach the rooftop, and Kareen lets go of her hand. She is upset but then realizes how high up they are. Kareen walks over to the edge and looks over Osaka Park, cherry blossom leaves blowing through the air mixing with the summer sunlight. Kareens beauty encapsulates Maka. She slowly walks to her side and joins her, looking over the park.
"It's... It's beautiful."
"It really is... I used to come here a lot with my mother."
"Do you not come here with her anymore?"
"..."
Maka looks over at Kareen, who now looks upset, no longer holding a smile. Maka frowns and returns to looking over the park. The two stand in silence as the wind blows through their hair and the trees underneath them. Maka puts her hand over Kareen's, surprising her. She looks over at Maka and begins to tear up. Maka turns and quickly wraps her arms around Kareen. She cries loudly into Maka's uniform to muffle the sound of her cry.
"It's ok Kareen, I'm here for you."
"That's right. Use me for your comfort."
"I'll stay here as long as you need me."
"I'm all you will ever need."
Maka holds her tightly, comforting Kareen by rubbing her head.
"Take all the time you need."
"Give me it all. Your tears, your heart, your soul. Everything."
The two continue to embrace, Maka forming a vicious grin, and blushing awkwardly at Kareen's emotional outburst.
