Chapter 2 - Club 77

If not for the ACs standing in each corner of the 77 Club House, heat would have been the deal of the day. Of course, except for the VIP section which is on the top floor.

Enzo was chilling alone with two girls one on the right and left. He was not enjoying the loud noise emitting from the speakers. He looked around to find what could entice him, but unfortunately, he couldn't.

Luck shines on him when Emily and one other girl enter the clubhouse. He saw her soon as she came catwalking through the door. She and her friend took over the floor and started doing their thing and it made him notice her even more.

She glared at the top floor and made eye contact with Enzo. It must have somehow felt that she noticed Enzo staring at her on the low. Something tells him that she is the kind of girl he'd like to get to know.

This is the first time in four years that Emily is going to be visiting a clubhouse. Her godmother's bodyguards are always all over her presence. Now that she is free to do whatever she wants – The club was the first place she wanted to visit.

She has only seen the clubhouse in movies and nothing more. Glad that she came around.

"New here?" The bar lady asked.

"Just me," Emily scoffed. Her black hair plunged over her shoulders as she leaned on the table, shining her white teeth.

"Yeah, I know Justina" she pointed at Emily, "Not you,"

"She is my friend. Just wanna try things out a little," she bangs the table, "two shots of tequila," she leaned forward to the bar lady, "ice please," Justina nodded her head gently as she sat uprightly staring at Emily. "Are you okay?"

"Erhmm," Emily tapped her thigh and looked up at Justina. "He has been staring at me since we entered,"

Justina gazed at every corner of the room. "Who?" She asked curiously.

She raised her head sharply. "There," Justina raised her head and she met Enzo's gaze.

"That's the top VIP since when I have been coming around!" Justina yelled quietly enough for Emily to grab what she said. With this, Emily looked up to check out the top VIP of the 77 Clubhouse.

"He is not bad,"

"You haven't gotten closer to him. Have you?" Justina placed her palm on her cheek.

"It does not mean. I can see him clearly from here," Enzo smirked when he found out that he got her attention already. "He is looking at me. Isn't he?" Emily asked.

Justina looked up again, then at Emily. "I guess he is," They were interrupted by the bar lady as he banged the shot cups on the slab.

"Here you go, ladies!" They both took it in and Emily kept a second streak of staring at Enzo.

Old jam Afrodisiac blasted through the speakers. Emily stood up and danced to the tune of the music and Enzo watched in amazement.

"I'll always be grateful to the dance instructor that always forces me to dance," Emily told Justina as they danced rhythmically. Justina got a call and had to leave the dance floor to pick it up.

As Emily danced alone, the waiter bearing glass cups with a tray collided with Emily, staining her clothes. "I'm sorry," the waiter apologised and she just smiled.

"It is okay. Get going," the waiter bowed to her and left.

"What's wrong?" Justina asked.

"I got baptised," Emily laughed. "Why did you go?"

"To get a call," she replied swiftly. "Take this Mask," Justina stretched out her hand with a mask in it.

"What for?" Emily was reluctant to take it, but she eventually did. "Are we leaving?"

"Goddamn, your intuition. Yes, this place is boring today, we need something exciting,"

"It is fun enough," Emily retaliated.

"You will know fun when we leave here,"

"We haven't used thirty minutes,"

"We will spend more than that over there. Just put on your mask and follow me," Justina said and put on her mask and Emily did the same.

All this going on and Enzo was stuck upstairs watching Emily like a romance movie. He smiled with every dance step she took. When she got drenched. He watched Justina discuss with her then after a few minutes he saw them walking toward the door. He rushed and slipped down the stairs – The only memory he has of Emily as she walked away was the scar on her back. He rushed to the door, but they had entered another car and zoomed off.

"We will meet again," he whispered as he leap-walk. His eyes wandered to the bar lady. He frowned and walked toward her. "Hi," he greeted her.

"Hello," she returned the greeting, "sorry about the fall,"

"Yeah thanks," he let out a faint smile. "Do you know the ladies that came here?"

"Who are you talking about?"

Enzo used his hands to describe the clothes they wore, but it was not working. He used his fingers to massage his forehead, trying to remember the colours of the cloth they wore. "Oh! Yes! One was in a blue shining gown and the other one red," he grinned.

"No, I don't" the bar lady replied and Enzo left disappointedly. He removed his pocket, tapped the screen multiple times and pinned it on his ear.

"We need to get new clothes for my friend here," Justina notified them as they drove off.

"Okay," the guy on the wheel responded.

"What are you doing in Club 77?" Drake asked Justina. He looked back at Emily, "Who is she?"

Emily didn't respond. Justina took a sneak peek at her. "She's my friend,"

"And I haven't seen her before?" He asked as he turned to Emily. "Can you take off your mask?"

"No, I can't." She replied sharply without removing her gaze from Drake.

"Your choice," Drake turned around and faced the road.

After she had changed her clothes, silence had been the deal of the day. The song blasting in the car was enough for an earful for Emily but the two boys and girls in the car singing along is something Emily couldn't take in. She hoped an accident would happen just to stop the song from playing again. Her prayer was answered but differently.

Suddenly, the music stopped. The phone connected to the speaker buzzed. Drake picked up the phone. "Hello, Enzo,"

"Hi D," Enzo's voice was audible enough for everyone to hear.

"What's up?"

"I'm good," he paused and Drake waited for him to continue, "where are you?"

"Going to my usual spot. Wanna come?"

"Yeah, I want to," he replied.

"Alright, I'll be waiting," Drake grinned.

"We will be having company?"

"Yes, he's my brother,"
