'Oh you gotta be shittin' me.'
A bright light enveloped my vision to the point where I saw nothing but pure white. It lasted around 30 seconds and eventually died down so that I could finally take notice of my surroundings.
I looked around and found myself in what looks to be a hotel suite. The suite itself was pleasant to look at with a queen sized bed with a painting above the frame. The bed also had a key on the sheets that I presumed was to the suite. Some ornate patterned designs on the wallpaper, a couple of cushioned chairs that surrounded a small coffee table, and an antique looking study desk that had a mirror above it. There was a doorway that led to a bathroom, a door leading towards a balcony and another door that was the exit/entrance.
Overall, it looked to be a nice place albeit was not modern at all. There were no smoke detectors, no TVs' and no air conditioning at all.
After I looked around the room a bit more, as well as checking myself out in front of the mirror, I wanted to ask the system to talk to me so that I can ask it for more details.
I looked towards nothing in particular and whispered, "System?"
The first thing I saw was a panel that appeared in front of me and some text that matched a voice that was talking to me.
{You called for me Deimos?}
"Oh there you are"
"I was just wondering if I could get more details on the plot of the movie. It's been a really long time since I watched the movie and would like something of a refresher, if that's okay?"
{Certainly.}
{The Mummy is about an adventurer, Rick O'Connell (Brendan Fraser) who travels to the city of the dead, Hamunaptra with a librarian and her older brother. They go there and accidentally awaken an ancient cursed high priest with supernatural powers, Imhotep. It's a movie franchise that generated over $400 million dolla-}
"Okay okay that's enough. It all finally came back to me, thank you."

"Now when and where are we in the movie?"
{We are currently about 3 days away from when the movie officially sets off. We are currently at a hotel near the library where one of the protagonists is working, Evelyn Carahan.}
"3 days huh? Guess that leaves me time to prepare"
"..."
"Wait, hang on, what specifically do I have to do in this movie? Am I helping out the main cast? Am I supposed to keep them from getting to Hamunaptra? What exactly should I prepare?"
{Good that you are asking questions. Points to you!}
{Your goal, for you to be complete with this movie, is to help the main cast in defeating Imhotep}
"Oh I see."
{Since you now finally get the gist of what's going on, I can finally show you the other functions of the system}
"Oh by the way is there a better name for me to call you by? I don't particularly enjoy just calling you System."
{That is completely up to you. I would actually prefer if you were to name me as well}
"If that's the case then can I name you something like Eve?"
I chose that name considering I really liked the movie Wall-E and had always thought that Eve was really cool.
{That is a wonderful name! I would definitely appreciate it if you were to call me that from now on!}
"That's good to hear. Now onto the other functions that you have?"
{Of course, The functions are displayed on the new panel on your screen}
[Status, Quests, Inventory]
(A/n: I just have these right now as the functions of Eve. I really want to use something like a penalty function thing like the one is Solo Leveling. The one where he gets sent to another world for a certain amount of time if he neglects some of his mandatory daily quest things. Of course if he survives in that world it would be beneficial to his overall growth and Eve would reward him. Please let me know if you guys want me to add something like this.)
Seeing these tabs on the panel in front of me, I tapped the Status tab.

{The STR attribute is your overall strength. The higher it is, the more power behind your punches, kicks and the overall damage you can tank before it starts to affect your VIT. Currently right now you are stronger than the average human.}
{The VIT attribute is your health or vitality. The higher that is, the less the damage affected after you tank it. It also increases your overall stamina and health. Right now, you are healthier than the average human.}
{The SPE attribute is your speed. It affects your fighting style, should you get one, and how fast you can physically be. As of this moment, you are faster than the average human.}
{The DEX attribute is your overall agility. It affects your reaction times, your reflexes and should it be high enough, it can be noted that it is very similar to UI (Ultra Instinct).}
{And finally the INT attribute is your intelligence. If it increases, the faster you can think, the more information stored and accessed, and also how you perceive time is also affected. Should it get high enough, it gives more time for you to think in a dire situation. As of right now, you are more intelligent than the average human.}

"So how would I increase all those stats if possible?"
{You would be given a daily quest that would increase your stats if you complete it. Please check your Quests tab.}
I tapped on the Quests tab. The status tab closed and a panel that was labeled Quests appeared.

Daily Quest: 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats and a 10 kilometre run. (It shall be noted that the exercises are affected in accordance with the attributes of the host. Should they increase, the reps of the exercises should also increase.)
Rewards: +2 in all stats except intelligence. (To increase INT, read books.)
World Quests: Defeat Imhotep after uniting with the main cast of Rick O'Connell, Evelyn and Johnathan Carnahan.
Side Quest: Make sure Evelyn ends up with Rick.]
(A/N: Sorry to disappoint you guys if you wanted the MC to end up with Evelyn. I just don't want to pair them up since I can't do my boy Rick like that and it would affect the plot for the franchise. Also don't worry about MC telling others about his situation. He will be like a supporting character for this movie.)
"Okay that I can do."
If my memory serves right, Rick was captured in Hamunaptra after his post was taken over and was imprisoned. That was the first time Evelyn met Rick after she went to look for someone that knows the location of Hamunaptra.
I think I should meet Evelyn first at the library. I could get some points in my intelligence since she's at a library.
After closing the panel in front of me, I continued exploring the room since this was my first time in something so lavish. Upon closer examination of the bed though, I did find a briefcase that, upon opening, was filled to the brim with $100 bills and some gold bullion. Most of the gold was labeled at 10oz.
I really didn't know how much that was but I just kept it in the briefcase and only took a couple dollars with me.
After the finding, I got started on my daily quest right away. I needed to get my attributes higher since I didn't want to face a creepy old mummy wizard with how I am right now. Even if I had higher stats than a normal person, I'm pretty sure that I would be toast against a few millennia old supernatural mummies.
