"Heuk!"
Gyun resisted trying to twist out of the Kimura (1) and straighten out his arm that Seoyeon managed to lock in as she leaned and bent his arm further applying more pressure on his shoulder, Gyun quickly tapped as he began to feel pressure on his shoulder.
Groaning as he rolled to his feet, Seoyeon stood up turning to the rest of the sitting class
"That was good, ok guys give Gyun a round of applause for volunteering."
Gyun massaged his shoulder and moved it around as he glared at Seoyeon's back,
-The fuck I did, you made me get up here-
"Now did you see that, Gyun is quite a muscular dude I mean look at him!" She squeezed his bicep.
-I'm uncomfortable now-
"He was able to resist for while but in almost every case once a submission is properly sunk in your not going to be able to get out of it without the proper technique. Now we don't have time for that today but we will cover how to get out and prevent a kimura at some point. You need to understand that this is an extremely short course, your understanding is at best going to be beginner. This is a bit like a introduction and crash course, it teaches you some of the fundamentals but you will be by no means a good practitioner."
She walked over to the edge of the mat, Good work today guy's I hope to see most of you back tomorrow ok, oh and tomorrow we'll show you how to bridge and work against someone in guard, Ok? Good see you guys tomorrow"
He muttered under his breath as he grabbed his water bottle to lean against the wall, "fuck"
He ran it through his head trying to think of what he could do to improve and keep himself from getting submitted again by Seoyeon. Though the only thing he could think of to prevent himself from being submitted was to keep his arms in a controlled area, and put pressure on her with his weight and strength.
Gyun felt a tap on his shoulder
Turning he saw Seoyeon standing next to him leaning against the wall, "You did pretty damn good for someone who's completely new"
"Thanks"
"Those trips were pretty high level, have you done judo before?"
"No, but something similar"
"...." Seoyeon didn't answer she stood still not speaking, she stared at a single spot on the floor seemingly zoned out
Gyun was a bit confused but got up to leave after a few seconds of awkward silence, he didn't turn around but he could feel Seoyeon's eyes on him as he walked into the locker room.
He was going to take off his compression pants and just wear his shorts for his next class, which would be the advanced kickboxing

1 hour later
Gyun ducked under the kick and leaned back to avoid the follow up strike and countered with a light jab catching his sparring partner on the forehead.
Stepping back and creating some distance he paused for a moment looking for an opening before kicking his opponents body but he curved it at the last moment his foot curving out and back in above his sparring partners guard hitting him in the side of the head.
He was wobbled for a moment and almost fell before he stuck his hands out keeping himself up. But since Gyun pulled his strike at the last moment it landed with little power and his partners eyes lit up in annoyance.
"Fuck!"
He grunted in anger as he started moving forward fearlessly throwing increasingly more powerful strikes.
Backing up he ducked and slipped his partners flurry of counterstrikes
"Calm down" Gyun causally said his face maintaining a calm demeanor as he front kicked the mans stomach pushing him back.
"You son of a bitch!"
The man who had a tattoo along his neck, looked down at his stomach then back at Gyun his face contorted with anger.
His yells attracted the attention of the other martial artists and the coach as they turned to look at what happened
He charged forward with a full power roundhouse at Gyun's head, Gyun had already read what would happen from the way his weight shifted from his lead leg to his rear leg.
He closed the distance delivering a hard straight punch that hit in the center of the headgear.
Depsite the heavily padded gloves the mans momentum and Gyun's power, caused the man's eyes to lose focus as he took a unsteady step forward and fell to down as he lost his balance he fell onto one knee.
His nose began to gush out some blood. He touched his nose with his glove he brought his glove up to his face, seeing the blood he got back up ripping his gloves off as he darted towards Gyun.
The coach ran over from across the mats, it was the same man who Gyun had seen teaching class the day before as Gyun learned he was actually quite knowledgable and was a former Glory (1) Kickboxing fighter, he managed to get in the way of the angry kickboxer and held him back.
"Hey break it up! Break it up!"
The angry kickboxer stopped resisting as more people grabbed ahold of him.
"I'm calm! I'm calm" though his face said otherwise as he stopped resisting, people gradually let him go.
The coach spoke up as he gestured for the rest of the group to quiet down, "what the hell is going on!"
The other man jumped in angrily, "this fucking bastard hit me in the fucking nose, look I'm fucking bleeding!"
The coach snapped at him, "Hey what did I say about swearing in my gym!" though the coach was shorter then the man, the coach was much more heavily built and muscular. The younger man lost a bit of his steam as he averted his gaze.
"T-To not do it"
The coach gave a short nod, he then turned to Gyun who was standing with his arms by his sides his face remaining neutral.
"And you?!"
"He got too angry and started throwing some hard shots after I touched him up, he ended up trying to hit me with a roundhouse and I countered him and it ended up rocking him." Gyun said it nonchalantly but it angered the other man.
"Hey fuck you" he yelled as he tried to move towards Gyun again but was held back by the group.
The coach shoved him back, "Hey what did I just say! What did I just say!"
At that the man quieted down, and stopped resisting
The coach, quieted his voice for a moment, "now GENTLEMEN, how do we resolve this?"
"This arrogant fuck needs his ass kicked! And I'll do it for him I'm willing to fight this fucker right here right now! Come on! No headgear no shin guards just gloves lets fucking go! Let's fu-"
The coach interrupted "Hey Hey Hey! who said anything about fighting?! We aren't fighting here! Sungmin you better calm the hell down before I kick your ass out!"
Gyun shrugged at the man's comments, he saw no fault in what he'd done but if the man wanted a fight he had no reason to not humble some third rate.
"I'll fight him if he wants" Though he didn't say it all that loud, everybody heard it.
"Hahaha! See this arrogant prick need's a beating!" Sungmin said as he cracked a smile on his angry face, his veins bulging on his neck making his tattooed scorpion look abnormal.
"Hey! No fighting!" the coach cut in again,
Sungmin spoke up again, "Hey coach if you don't let us fight now we're just going to end up fighting later and in the street. At least here you can make sure the fights safe right?!"
The coach pondered it for a moment, "No I sai-"
Sungmin cut in, "then I'll be waiting for you outside" he said as he pointed at Gyun
The coach took a deep breath, he sighed "Fine, you fight one round, 3 minutes and after that this beef is squashed got it, no complaints from either of you got it!"
"Yes!"
"Sure"
The coach massaged his temples he looked so angry he was about to burst a blood vessel, "Then take off your gear and throw on some 4 ounce gloves before you get in the cage"

Glory- Is a kickboxing promotion that is the current most prestigious kickboxing promotion, you can think of it as the UFC of kickboxing
Authors note- Should I slow down the pacing or keep it where it's at or speed up. I'm not sure, I wanted to be able to introduce the main story by ch 30 or 35 but I think it might be in the later chapters where the storyline and plots really gets into play. I'm not sure whether I should speed up and skip some of this miscellaneous stuff or if you guys want to just get to the story I feel like it's already moving at a comfortable pace but I just wanted to hear some input
