Chapter 46 - The Start of Training

After the conversation with Ryu, Levi was determined to become stronger. He knew that he needed to focus on his training, so he decided to leave and start training with Zephyr.

As he walked away, Ryu watched him go, hoping that he would take his advice and work hard to become stronger.

Levi made his way to Zephyr's training area, where Zephyr greeted him warmly.

"Levi, congratulations on awakening such a powerful mana," Zephyr said with a smile.

Levi only smiled and thanked Zephyr. "Thank you."

Zephyr then looked at Levi, his expression turning serious. "Let's cut to the chase. In the academy, you trained your spells with a wand, didn't you?"

Levi nodded, feeling slightly intimidated by Zephyr's serious tone.

"Well, forget everything you learned there," Zephyr said firmly. "If you want to become a true mage, you need to learn how to cast spells without a wand."

Levi's eyes widened in surprise. "Without a wand? How is that possible?"

Zephyr chuckled at Levi's reaction. "Of course it is possible. In fact, many of the most powerful mages in history have been able to cast spells without a wand."

Levi looked skeptical. "But how can you control the mana without a wand? It seems like it would be much harder."

Zephyr nodded. "It is harder, but it's also more powerful. When you use a wand, you are limiting your mana to the power of the wand. But when you cast spells without a wand, you can channel all of your mana directly into the spell, making it much more potent."

Levi was intrigued. "So how do I learn how to do it?"

Zephyr smiled. "It's all about control. You need to learn how to control your mana without the aid of a wand. To do that, we'll start with some basic exercises."

Zephyr then led Levi to a nearby practice area, where he instructed him to start with simple spells, such as creating a small flame in the palm of his hand.

Levi was surprised to find that without the wand, he had to concentrate much harder to control his mana. But with Zephyr's guidance, he slowly began to master the technique.

As Levi continued practicing, Zephyr observed him closely, offering tips and corrections where necessary. Zephyr then asked him, "You're already an Advanced Mage, right?"

Levi nodded. "Yes, I am."

Zephyr nodded thoughtfully. "Good. Then you're ready for the next stage."

Levi looked at Zephyr expectantly. "What's the next stage?"

Zephyr smiled. "The next stage is becoming a Magic Lord. It's the next stage a mage can achieve, and it's only attainable by those with exceptional skills and power."

Levi's eyes widened in excitement. "Wow, I had no idea. How do I become a Magic Lord?"

Zephyr chuckled at Levi's eagerness. "Well, first things first, to become a Magic Lord, you need to be able to wield magic without a wand. As you know, using a wand to channel your mana is limiting, and it doesn't allow you to fully harness the potential of your mana."

Levi nodded, understanding the importance of mastering this skill. "I see. So, what's the next step then?"

Zephyr smiled as he looked at Levi. "The next step is this." He said it while taking out his sword from its scabbard.

Levi looked at Zephyr's sword, not quite sure what to make of it. "What does your sword have to do with becoming a Magic Lord?" he asked, perplexed.

Zephyr turned to face Levi and explained, "Becoming a Magic Lord requires not only the mastery of your mana but also the mastery of your physical body."

Levi was a bit confused there. "What do you mean by that?"

Zephyr continued, "To become a Magic Lord, you need to have a stronger body for powerful mana to easily flow in your body. Your physical strength is directly connected to your magical prowess. If your body is weak, then your magic will be weak too."

Levi understood the importance of physical fitness and nodded in agreement. "Okay, I understand. So, what does your sword have to do with it?"

Zephyr smiled. "Well, to become a Magic Lord, you need to learn how to use weapons as well. The sword is one of the most powerful weapons a mage can wield. It requires physical strength, dexterity, and focus, all of which are essential for mastering magic."

Levi was intrigued by this idea. "So you can say that now the weapon is the wand now," he remarked.

Zephyr chuckled. "Yes, in a way. A sword, like a wand, can be used to channel and focus your mana. With proper training, you can learn how to infuse your sword strikes with magical energy, making them even more potent."

Levi listened attentively, realizing the significance of what Zephyr was saying. "That's amazing. I've never thought about using a weapon to enhance my magic."

Zephyr nodded in agreement. "It's a crucial skill for any mage who wants to become a Magic Lord. And speaking of which, you have an advantage in that regard."

Levi looked at Zephyr, surprised. "What do you mean?"

Zephyr smiled. "You have Ocean Mana, which will transform your body into Ocean Body."

Levi smiled, excited that Zephyr had brought up his unique ability. "Yes, I already knew that. My body will slowly become stronger."

Zephyr nodded, then began to bring out the weapons rack. The rack was made of sturdy oak and was filled with various weapons, including swords, spears, and bows. Levi's eyes widened as he took in the array of weapons before him.

He had always been fascinated by weapons and the art of combat, and now he had the chance to learn how to wield them alongside his magic.

Zephyr watched as Levi studied the weapons, patiently waiting for him to make his choice. After a few minutes of contemplation, Levi reached for a weapon.

Zephyr nodded in approval. "Good choice. Then let's get started." With that, Levi began his training with Zephyr.

---

Over the next two years, Levi trained tirelessly under Zephyr's guidance, honing his magical abilities and perfecting his combat skills. They spent countless hours practicing.

As time passed, Levi began to notice changes in his body. His muscles became more defined, his reflexes quicker, and his magical energy more potent. He felt more alive and confident in his abilities than ever before.

One day, after a particularly grueling training session, Zephyr sat down and looked at Levi in disbelief. "I can't believe you have become stronger in just two years. Your progress is remarkable."

Levi smiled, feeling proud of himself. "Thank you, Zephyr. I couldn't have done it without your guidance and training."

Zephyr nodded. "You have the potential to become one of the strongest mages in the land. But there is still much work to be done. We must continue to push your limits and expand your magical abilities."

Levi nodded in agreement. "I'm ready for whatever comes next. I want to become the best I can be."

And so their training continued, each day bringing new challenges and opportunities for growth. Levi pushed himself to his limits, striving to become the best mage he could be.
