Chapter 36 - Final : Levi Vs Jameson

The tension in the air was palpable as the two remaining mages, Levi and Jameson, stepped into the arena. The audience erupted into cheers and applause, their excitement and anticipation for the final match almost tangible.

The referee raised his wand, gesturing for the audience to quiet down. The cheers slowly subsided, replaced by a low hum of anticipation.

"Ladies and gentlemen," the referee began, his voice ringing out clearly in the silent arena. "I am pleased to present to you the two finalists of this year's competition: Levi and Jameson!"

The crowd erupted into cheers once again, their enthusiasm for the skilled mages palpable. The two finalists exchanged nods, their eyes locked in a silent challenge.

"This has been an incredible competition so far," the referee continued. "We have seen some truly remarkable feats of magic, and the remaining two competitors have proven themselves to be among the most talented and skilled mages of their generation."

The audience cheered in agreement, their excitement building with each passing moment.

"Now," the referee said, his voice growing more serious. "We come to the final round of the competition. This is where the true test of skill and power lies. Levi and Jameson will face off in a duel to determine who will be crowned the champion of this year's competition."

The crowd fell silent, waiting with bated breath for the referee to continue.

"In this final round, anything goes," the referee said, his voice low and solemn. "Both competitors may use any spell or combination of spells that they know."

A murmur of excitement and anticipation rippled through the crowd at the referee's words. They knew that this final round would be the most intense and thrilling of the entire competition.

"Then let the final round begin!" the referee declared, stepping back and gesturing for the competitors to begin.

Before they began, Jameson turned to Levi with a smirk on his face. "Finally, you will be defeated by me today," he said, his voice dripping with confidence. "I will avenge my losses from those years on you."

Levi's expression turned cold and angry. "Do you think you can defeat me?" he shot back, his own voice laced with derision. "I will avenge Mark."

The audience fell silent, sensing the tension between the two mages. Levi and Jameson had a long-standing rivalry, and the tension between them was palpable.

Without another word, the two mages began to circle each other, their eyes locked in a silent challenge. The air crackled with energy as they each began to conjure their spells.

As Jameson and Levi circled each other, their eyes locked in a silent challenge, the tension in the arena reached its peak. The audience held their breath, waiting to see who would make the first move.

Suddenly, Jameson made his move, "Take this, Inferno Blast!" he shouted, his wand pointed directly at Levi. Flames erupted from his wand, hurtling toward Levi with deadly accuracy.

Levi remained calm, his expression was unreadable as he stood his ground. "Aqua Wall," he muttered, barely loud enough for anyone to hear.

In an instant, a wall of water rose up in front of Levi, extinguishing the flames before they could even touch him. The crowd erupted into cheers and applause, impressed by Levi's skill and quick thinking.

"Ha! Is that all you've got?" Levi taunted, a smirk spreading across his face. "I expected better from you, Jameson."

Jameson scowled, clearly annoyed that his attack had been foiled so easily. "Don't get too cocky, Levi," he retorted, pointing his wand at him again. "I've got plenty of tricks up my sleeve."

Levi just chuckled. "I'm not worried," he said, his voice dripping with confidence. "I've faced tougher opponents than you."

The two mages continued to circle each other, each waiting for an opening to strike. Jameson's eyes darted back and forth, searching for a weakness in Levi's defense.

Suddenly, Jameson made his move. "Flaming Bind!" he shouted, pointing his wand at Levi once again. Flames erupted from his wand, coalescing into a swirling vortex of fire that headed straight for Levi.

The swirling vortex of fire closed in on Levi, but he remained still, seemingly unfazed by the incoming attack. The flames engulfed him, wrapping around his body like a fiery embrace.

The crowd held their breath, watching in anticipation as the flames continued to swirl around Levi. It was a dangerous move on Levi's part to allow himself to be bound by the flames, but he seemed to have a plan.

Jameson's eyes widened as he realized that Levi wasn't struggling against the flames. Instead, he was allowing himself to be consumed by them. Jameson began to laugh, thinking he had finally gotten the upper hand.

"Ha! You're even more foolish than I thought, Levi," Jameson taunted. "You've just sealed your own fate by allowing yourself to be trapped by my flames."

Levi just smirked a glint of determination in his eyes. "I'm not trapped," he replied calmly. "I'm just getting started."

Jameson's laughter only grew louder as he watched Levi continue to stand still, seemingly unaffected by the flames. "What's your plan, Levi? Are you waiting for me to tire myself out before you make your move? Pathetic," he jeered, his voice dripping with contempt.

But Levi remained stoic, his eyes locked on Jameson. He was waiting for the right moment, biding his time until he could strike with maximum impact.

The heat of the flames continued to rise, but Levi remained unmoved. Jameson began to grow impatient, wondering why Levi wasn't even attempting to break free from the bind.

"Are you scared, Levi?" Jameson sneered. "You should be. I can make these flames hotter than the sun if I want to. You won't stand a chance."

Levi's smirk turned into a slight grin. "I'm not scared," he replied calmly. "I'm just waiting for the right moment."

The crowd murmured in anticipation, wondering what Levi's plan was. Jameson continued to taunt Levi, trying to goad him into making a move. But Levi remained patient, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.
