Chapter 9 - Magic Class

Mark watched as Levi unleashed his Water Ball on the target, creating a powerful blast that sent the target flying. Impressed, he raised his own hand and focused his Mana on his Water Element.

He imagined his own attack, envisioning a sphere of water forming in his hand. With a shout, he released the attack, sending it flying toward the target.

The Water Ball hit the target, but it wasn't as strong as Levi's. Mark frowned, disappointed in himself. He knew he had to work harder if he wanted to improve his skills.

Levi turned to Mark, a small smile on his face. "Good job, Mark. But I think you can do better," he said, offering his friend a reassuring pat on the back.

Mark nodded, determination shining in his eyes. "Yeah, you're right. I'll keep practicing," he said, turning back to the target.

Levi walked over to stand beside Mark, watching as he focused his Mana once again. "That's the spirit," he said, a note of encouragement in his voice.

Together, the two friends spent the rest of the afternoon practicing their magic, honing their skills and improving their attacks. They tried different variations of their Water Ball, experimenting with different intensities and angles.

As the sun began to set, they finally decided to call it a day. "I'm pretty tired," Mark said, stretching his arms over his head.

Levi nodded in agreement. "Yeah, me too. Let's head back to our room and get some rest," he said, turning to walk back to their dorm.

As they walked, they discussed their progress and what they needed to work on in the future. "I think I need to work on my concentration," Mark said, frowning slightly. "Sometimes I get distracted and my attacks aren't as powerful as they could be."

Levi nodded, understanding. "Yeah, that's definitely important. For me, I need to work on my speed. I think I can improve my reaction time so I can dodge attacks more easily."

They reached their dorm room and collapsed onto their beds, exhausted but satisfied with their progress. "We'll be even stronger tomorrow," Levi said with a grin.

The both of them then returned to their room to rest.

The next morning, they woke up early, eager to continue their training. They quickly got dressed and headed to their first class of the day.

The class was held in a large auditorium, filled with rows of desks and a raised platform at the front of the room. The students were already starting to file in, chatting excitedly amongst themselves.

Mark and Levi found seats near the front of the room and waited for the class to begin. As they sat there, they talked quietly, discussing what they hoped to learn in class.

Suddenly, the door at the back of the room burst open, and a tall, imposing figure strode into the room. The students fell silent as the figure made its way up to the front of the room.

It was the professor.

The professor was an elderly man with a long beard and piercing blue eyes. He wore a long black robe and carried a wooden staff, which he tapped against the floor as he walked.

"Good morning, students," the professor said, his voice deep and commanding. "Welcome to my class. You all have awakened your Mana Heart yesterday. Today, I will explain to you about the next step."

The room was filled with excitement as the students leaned in, eager to learn what was next in their magical journey.

"As you all know, the awakening of your Mana Heart is only the first step in your magical journey. The next step is to learn how to control and harness your Mana," the professor continued, his voice echoing throughout the room.

"Mana is the magical energy that flows within you and the world around you. To control and harness it, you must learn how to cultivate it," he explained.

The professor went on to explain the concept of Mana cultivation, the process of compressing Mana to become denser and more potent. He demonstrated with a few simple spells, showing the students how a small amount of compressed Mana could create powerful effects.

"By compressing your Mana, you will be able to perform more powerful spells with less effort. It is a crucial step in your journey to becoming a skilled mage," the professor emphasized.

He then instructed the students to begin their own Mana cultivation practice, starting with basic compression exercises. The students eagerly followed along, focusing their Mana and compressing it as instructed.

Mark and Levi were both excited to start their Mana cultivation journey. They had heard from other students that it was a challenging process but also a rewarding one.

As they worked on their compression exercises, Mark couldn't help but notice that his Mana seemed to be more difficult to control than Levi's. He struggled to compress it as much as he wanted, and it often dissipated before he could fully harness it.

Levi noticed his friend's struggle and offered some advice. "Try visualizing your Mana as a physical object, like a ball or a cube. It might help you control it better," he suggested.

Mark took the advice and tried visualizing his Mana as a sphere. To his surprise, it seemed to work. He was able to compress it more effectively and hold it for longer periods of time.

As the days went by, the students continued to practice their Mana cultivation. They worked on more complex compression exercises and learned how to use their denser Mana to cast more powerful spells.

Mark and Levi both made significant progress in their Mana cultivation, and they were excited to see how it would affect their magical abilities.

The professor continued to guide them through their journey, providing feedback and advice as needed. He also introduced them to other important concepts in magic, such as mana manipulation and spell-casting techniques.

The class had been underway for several days now, and the students had been making steady progress in their magical abilities. The professor had been pleased with their dedication and hard work, and he often commented on how quickly some of them were advancing.

During one particular lesson, the professor announced that some of the students had become Beginner Mages. The class erupted into cheers and applause as those who had achieved this milestone stepped forward to receive their certificates.

Mark and Levi were among those who had become Beginner Mages. They felt a sense of pride and accomplishment as they held their certificates in their hands, knowing that their hard work had paid off.
