Chapter 19 - CHAPTER 19: SPACE CUBE

The room fell into stunned silence as Ash and Lora watched Tara shoot Arlo. Arlo stood frozen, memories of their time together flashing before his eyes. He had never anticipated that Tara would actually pull the trigger. Despite their past breakup, he still loved her deeply, but now he realized that she had never truly trusted him.

Tears welled up in Arlo's eyes, not from physical pain as the bullet had been stopped by his armor, but from the emotional turmoil he felt in his heart.

Lora looked at him in disbelief and questioned, "Why isn't he bleeding" Tara and Ash focused their gaze, trying to comprehend the situation unfolding before them.

Arlo sensed their curious stares and decided to remove his T-shirt, revealing his body. His chest bore scars from cuts and burns, but there wasn't a single bite mark to be found. Ash, still in shock, stammered, "What... what the hell? How is that even possible?" Lora and Tara remained speechless, unable to find words to express their astonishment.

Arlo noticed their stunned reactions, but he paid them no mind. He proceeded towards his room once again, and this time, no one attempted to stop him. From inside his room, Arlo spoke, "Do not venture outside. If you do, you'll die. Zombies become much more formidable at night. Stay inside, and we will venture out tomorrow."

For a few moments, the trio stood in silence, grappling with the weight of the situation.

As the gravity of Arlo's words settled in, Tara, Ash, and Lora exchanged glances, their minds reeling with the implications of his warning. The revelation of Arlo's resilience against the zombie bites left them with more questions than answers. How was he immune to their infectious grip? What secrets lay beneath those scars etched on his chest?

Tara, her hand still trembling from the gunshot, found her voice first. "Arlo, I... I didn't know. I didn't realize you were... different." Regret laced her words as she struggled to come to terms with her actions. She never imagined she would find herself pointing a gun at the man she once loved.

Arlo was not infected by the bite of the zombie because he was wearing his invisible armor. But he can't explain it to them that's why he tried to rush into his room but he didn't expected that Tara will shoot him.

In the room, Arlo took out the space cube from beneath the bed and started to explore it.

Alro is holding the space cube his hand and asked" Aisha, How can I activate this cube?"

"Master, you just need to put a drop of your blood on the cube surface"

[DNA confirmed. Welcome Master Arlo]

After hearing this voice from the cube, the cube in his hands moved on his own on the ground and a fluctuation in the space of his surroundings in his room occurred.

A door appeared out of nowhere in front of him.

As Arlo stepped through the mysterious door, a wave of uncertainty washed over him. The room on the other side was unlike anything he had ever seen. It seemed to defy the laws of physics, with walls adorned in intricate patterns and a soft, ethereal glow illuminating the space. The air hummed with energy, and a sense of anticipation hung in the atmosphere.

Arlo's gaze landed on a pedestal in the center of the room, upon which rested a small, pulsating orb. The space cube. Aisha's voice echoed in his mind, guiding him through this extraordinary experience.

"Master, the space cube holds immense power and knowledge. It has all types of facilities and is a repository of information from different realms and dimensions. With it, you can access ancient wisdom and unlock abilities beyond imagination."

"Arlo's curiosity surged, fueled by the possibilities before him. He approached the space cube with caution and reverence. With a steady hand, he placed his hand on its smooth surface."

"Welcome, Master Arlo," the voice from the cube acknowledged.

In response to Arlo's touch, the cube began to move on its own, gliding across the floor. As it did, the room around him shifted and morphed, creating a passageway leading to another realm. The door, once again, materialized in front of him.

Arlo turned to Aisha for confirmation, seeking reassurance from her unwavering guidance. "Do I have to go inside?"

"Yes, Master," Aisha confirmed. "The space cube holds everything we need for our survival and the answers we seek. It will guide you through this journey."

With a nod of determination, Arlo took a deep breath and stepped through the doorway. As he crossed the threshold, the world around him transformed, transporting him to a realm of untold wonders and perilous challenges.

Within this isolated land, where an array of robots roamed the streets and diligently performed their assigned tasks, a door materialized seemingly out of thin air.

Emerging from the door, Arlo cautiously surveyed his surroundings, only to be met with a startling sight. Every robot in the vicinity abruptly turned their gaze in his direction, their attention fixated on his presence.

Before he could process the situation, an army of humanoid robots swiftly closed in on him, causing panic to surge within him. Seeking answers, he implored, "Aisha, are you suggesting I must engage in battle with all of them?"

Aisha calmly responded, "No, they have gathered here to give you their warm welcome."

Arlo's relaxed himself as he understood her words.

After a brief interval, approximately 200 humanoid robots encircled Arlo, each one offering a respectful bow and addressing him as "Master Arlo."

Acknowledging their gesture, Arlo nodded graciously and responded, "I appreciate your welcome. Please proceed with your assigned tasks."

Directing his attention to a specific robot named Aisha.

"Aisha, is this your physical form?"

"Yes Master", Aisha nodded.

Arlo nodded and said, "Aisha, guide me on a tour of this place."

Aisha responded, "Sure, Master Arlo."

After uttering those words, Aisha deftly snapped her fingers, initiating a teleportation that swiftly transported both of them to a remote destination.

Puzzled by the sudden change, Arlo inquired, "What just happened?"

Aisha explains," Master, I just used our teleportation function so we can teleport here. This is the starting point of this space realm."

Upon comprehending her explanation, Arlo shifted his gaze, surveying his surroundings, only to discover that all the buildings were built in a straight line before him.

Arlo inquired, "Am I able to utilize teleportation as well?"

"Yes, master, you have the ability to do so. However, there are certain preparations you must undertake before attempting it," Aisha responded.

Curiosity getting the better of him, Arlo couldn't resist asking, "What preparations are necessary?"

Aisha's smile remained as she answered, "Please accompany me."

"First, allow me to introduce you to several essential facilities within this spatial realm."

With those words, she stepped onto the path, which promptly began moving, carrying Aisha forward.

Reaching the front of the first building, Aisha directed Arlo, "Master, simply step onto the path and visualize your desired destination. It will transport you there."

Arlo nodded upon hearing this instruction and proceeded to follow Aisha's guidance. Within moments, he found himself standing beside her, in awe of the grandeur of the building before them.

Arlo inquired, "Which facility is this?"

"This is the communication office, where you must establish contact with the headquarters," Aisha replied.
