Susan leaned on the pillars and watched the dragons as they chattered.
Their voices were so loud that she could hear everything they were saying. They weren't even trying to hide the fact that they were betting with her as the main subject.
'They really are noisy.' she thought and stood up straight. 'Fine. I'd like to see how good this king's flirting skills are for them to be so confident.' she turned and started leaving.
The comfortable and quiet days seemed to be history as the dragons had taken over the castle and the peace.
They were loud, jumpy, excited for no reason and always feasting. It made her wonder where they were getting the money for these expenses.
"The dragons' vault can never go empty." Solon said, once Susan voiced her curiosity.
They had become sparing partners and Susan had come to know a bit about the dragons thanks to her.
