I walked back into the hall and there I saw what made my heart clench. Oscar was dancing with Lacie so beautifully. Though he wasn't smiling, he looks like he was content.
If I didn't know what was going on, I'd join the crowd to say they make a great couple but I knew. I knew quite well that he was 'my' man. I knew he was mine and don't hers. We were the perfect couple, not them.
My grip around my fan tightened as I thought about this. Lacie was going to pay.
The first music ended and they both separated. I could see a swarm of girls getting ready to ask Oscar to dance but he stayed by Lacie's side, causing them to only dream. They were scared of getting on Lacie's bad side but I wasn't.
