That night, while Susan was sleeping, she suddenly woke up with the feeling that someone was in the room with her but when she looked around, there was no one.
"Am I imagining things?" She asked herself.
"You've got sharp senses, I'll tell you that!" Came a voice from behind her but when she turned, she couldn't find anyone.
"Who's there?" She asked and he materialized himself into Shadow.
"Hey!" He waved with a cheeky grin.
Susan's hand quickly reached for her pillow and she threw it at him. Since it was unexpected, he didn't dodge and got hit in the face.
"Well, that was unexpected!" He said but she picked the candle stand next, ready to throw it at him when he said, "Hold on! I'm a good guy, okay?"
"No one who sneaks into a lady's room at night can consider himself good!" She said still threatening to throw it at him.
