Derek looked up and locked eyes with Susan who stood behind Edgar. He immediately recognized her eyes and was completely speechless.
Though he couldn't recognize her new get up, her eyes were the same. Bypassing his surprise at how her appearance changed, he asked her to get in. She did just that and the others took the car that was trailing behind them.
There was an awkward silence in the car as neither of them spoke to the other.
Derek looked like he did not care about what he heard because he kept his gaze outside the window but in actuality, he was thinking about what the psychologist he met said.
Susan didn't know what to do and decided to say the words that were screaming in her heart.
"I'm sorry!" She apologized and although it jolted him out of his thoughts, he remained calm.
"What are you apologizing for?" He asked with his gaze still fixed outside the window.
