Susan stood frozen on her feet. She roughly imagined Derek saying that but hearing him say it out was... exhilarating.
Due to that, she kinda felt tempted. Her friends waited for her response and so did Derek but she just fumbled with her fingers and mumbled to herself.
"You don't want to?" Derek asked but she shook her head.
"Derek, I know your place is the safest right now but as much as I want to keep my sister safe and I really do, trust me but," she bit her lip while contemplating if to finish her words.
"Go on!" He said and she gave out a weary breath.
"I just can't go with you because I don't trust myself." She finally let it out and shut her eyes.
Her response left them all speechless with wide eyes that screamed out, 'what do you mean?' Nevermind that, she continued.
