Susan kept her speculations to herself. Since her father was out on a business trip, she'd had to hold onto her questions till he got back.
Two days later, Selma and Lucas left to Venezuela leaving Susan, Kathy and Molly to take care of the house.
That night, the three sat in the living room and a random idea popped into Molly's head.
"Kathy, you wanna go get late night ice cream with me?" She asked with a cunning grin and Kathy's eyes lit up but before she could respond, Susan said,
"Molly, it's late! I don't think she should go out." She nudged her head a bit, giving her the 'You know it's dangerous' look.
"Argh! I get it!" She turned to Kathy. "Maybe next time."
"Why? You guys go out at night all the time and I haven't seen any 'danger'!"
'Little sis, if only you saw what I saw.' Susan thought and shook her head. It was such an headache dealing with someone so oblivious of the dangers of the world.
