Meanwhile, at the cafe, Molly and Susan stared at each other in silence as Susan contemplated how she was going to answer Molly's question.
She touched her arm and pursed her lips. Molly waited patiently. She wasn't going to rush Susan to answer but she did need an answer so she decided to wait.
"Molly!" Susan called.
"Hm?"
"Have you ever had a nightmare where you get injured only to wake up and find that same injury on your body?" She asked but Molly didn't respond. "Well, I did regain a few memories and they're enough to tell me that I and the Esclairs were on good terms before I died." She explained.
"Susan, did you...?"
"Find out how I died?" Susan completed and nodded. "Matter-of-fact, that was the first thing I remember. Funny, right?" She smiled but it was a sad smile.
"Susan!" Molly placed a hand on hers. Her eyes held sympathy and a bit of pity but Susan didn't need it. She slipped her hand out of her grasp.
