Chapter 2 - II

"WHY THE HELL ARE THERE RATS IN HERE." of course, it was Allan who screamed once again.

Inside those handsome, tough, and rude looks, he was quite the opposite of that when you are close friends with him. When I first met him, I honestly thought he was the rude and handsome type but I guess I was wrong. He was also pretty outgoing and he's really funny too.

The same kind of goes with Aerielle too. I swear on the first day of school when I met her in elementary, she never talks unless she got a friend with her or someone tried to talk to her. She's still nice tho even if you aren't close to her- well unless you pissed her off. She may look quite innocent because of her intelligence, but no. She's the evilest among all of us in our friend group.

Lyf and Erich seemed to be quite outgoing and social- well that's what I think. I'm not quite sure about it but what I do know is that they were the best friends could ever have in your life. When you are feeling down, they are always there to comfort you and be with you when you need them.

About Hailey.. how would I know? I'm not that close with her so I don't know much. But right now, I see her as a quiet and nice person and probably cute too. When we get closer to each other, I'll probably figure out more of her personality too.

And now, let's go back to Allan facing those rats.

"ALLAN WHY ARE YOU HIDING BEHIND ME? YOU ARE THE MAN SO PROTECT US." Erich yelled.

"No girl I hate these little rats. If only he was here to protect us." said Allan while wiping a fake tear from his face.

"Oh my god you sound like those princesses in those dramatic romance movies where their prince left them." said Aerielle making her face look disgusted.

"Don't act like you don't want him here either." said Erich.

"Did I say anything about not wanting him here? I thought you guys knew more." said Aerielle.

As the others were arguing and forgetting about the rats, Hailey started to ask me things which were quite normal to ask right now.

"Hey uh, Karli? Who are they talking about?"

"They are talking about a friend we had in elementary. He moved to another country so all of us couldn't go to the same high school."

"Oh, I see. Aerielle and Allan kinda look close with him."

"Trust me, they are." I said

"So should we stop them from fighting?" she suggested.

"Well, that's probably a good idea."

"Hey, guys.. shouldn't we not argue here? We should probably head to the park since it will probably be hard to go there since a lot of people come there at night. And it's almost 6 pm."

And so, the others stopped fighting and decided to head towards the park.

We finally arrived at the park and wow. The lights were so beautiful. I can see that Hailey really loved them and so, I held her hand and took her to a place where the lights were shining bright like stars.

It was dark even if it was only 6 pm so the lights were bright.

We all went in different ways and were separated from each other.

Hailey and I were admiring the bright shining lights while Lyf and Erich were walking around taking some pictures of the statues in the park. Allan was looking at the souvenirs and ended up buying a small amount. Actually, never mind, he bought a LOT.

Aerielle was sitting in the corner admiring the beautiful stars and also taking some pictures. She also looked like she was texting someone. Not surprised to be honest, she always uses her phone wherever she goes. Hailey held my hand and told me to go to the food section with her since she was hungry and well, of course, I came with her since I was hungry too.

No matter where we wanted to go, we were never separated from each other.. and I want to keep it that way.

But just like they say, no matter how hard you try, oil and water will always be separated.

It was getting pretty late so we all decided to go to the exit and started to part ways. We waved and even hugged each other goodbye even if we're gonna see each other tomorrow.

Even if it's just one night, I didn't want to be separated from them.. they are like my second family. I will never leave them, no matter how hard it takes, we will all be together.

Until the End.

That's what we promised to each other. But you know, all promises will be broken at some point. No matter what you do, no matter how hard you try to keep all things the same, they will all change. Don't expect much in life, keep your expectations low. It will all end someday.

Ever since then, we started to hang out almost every day and we all got closer to each other than before.

And to be honest, every time I see and talk to her, I keep getting more in love with her. She's just.. so majestic. She's too perfect for a lowlife like me who has terrible grades and a terrible posture.

After our hangout back at the amusement park, I somehow managed to ask her what her number is. I decided to add her to our group chat and believe me, that group chat was full of chaos. We talk to each other every night and there was never a time that we are quiet. The more we got along with Hailey, the more she shows her extroverted side. She's gotten quite louder and more outgoing than we first met her.

This friendship is the best one I could ever have. I don't want to lose them. Ever.

No matter what, I'll make this friendship last forever.

3 months after we met Hailey.

Our Christmas vacation started and we decided to go to a place that we will never forget.

We went back to the amusement park where we first hang out with each other and wow, the lights were so much prettier than last time. Just like before, we took pictures, walked around, and ate some food. That's pretty much what we do when hanging out anyways.

As we were randomly walking around, Lyf noticed someone who was oddly familiar.

"Hey, guys? Is it just me or does that guy over there look familiar?" said Lyf as she pointed at a tall guy with a red jacket.

"Yeah no, I swear, I definitely saw that guy before." said Allan

As we were questioning ourselves, the guy seemed to notice us and smirked at us.

"Yeah no, we actually know him. Ethan, come here!" said Aerielle.

"I knew it was him." said Allan

Ethan smiled at us and started to run towards our direction.

"Oh my Ethan, I can't believe you wouldn't tell your friends that you finally came back here." said Allan as he dramatically wiped a fake tear.

"Well uhm, I'm sorry... I guess..?" said Ethan trying to comfort Allan.

"Since when did you even arrive here?" Erich asked.

"2 days ago. I couldn't tell you guys since my phone was dead and some idiot lost my charger."

"Ohh I see. Anyways, wanna come with us? We were planning on going to the rollercoaster."

"Sure, oh and- I see you also came here, Hailey."

All of us were shocked when he said that. We never expected them to know each other.

"You guys know each other?" I asked

"Yep, we were classmates back then in Australia. But unfortunately, she left the school for some reason. She never told me why even tho we're friends. But I guess it was something personal so I don't mind." said Ethan

"I see... well, maybe you should hang out with us a bit more often so your friendship will get better!" I suggested.

"That sounds great. What do you two think?" said Lyf.

"Why not? You don't mind, right Hailey?" said Ethan.

"W-well of course!" said Hailey looking a bit.. nervous..?

And so, we began to explore the park and ate some food to get back our energy in case we get tired. After a while, Hailey didn't seem nervous and uncomfortable around Ethan anymore and that made me glad since I didn't need to worry much about them anymore.

This night was probably the best one I ever had. Ethan came back which means our friend group is no longer missing someone, Hailey and I probably got closer than before, and most importantly, we all had fun. That's what always mattered. We began to part ways and waved goodbye to each other as we returned to our home, as we were waiting impatiently on seeing each other again.

I want all of this to last... forever.

I will protect this friendship until my last breath.
