It was hilarious to her that Noah's first reaction was to answer with looks instead of personality, and she was crying on the inside since she found it so funny considering that she had thought that he would judge her for going for looks first, but we were doing it also. Not that she would ever voice it, but she would love a handsome man.
And she would love to look good standing next to him. Thinking about it was so cringy though because she wouldn't normally have a light of day to daydream about such matters. She did hope to fall in love someday, but not any time soon since she still had so much to achieve, but at the end of the day, who could control her heart?
Not that she would be looking for it, because she couldn't even imagine the future man by her side. She smiled over at Liam, and she was startled by the arm that stretched behind her chair with Noah leaning his body over to her, she tilted her body over to him because she thought that he had something to say.
There was more chat around the table as Liam and Daphne continued to talk about relationships, and Alice was glad that they were taking most of the wheel since they did have good words that needed to get out. As the table went around to say what they would like in their significant other, Noah mimed to her to take off the microphone on her tie.
With a confused expression, she slipped off the microphone as carefully as she could since she didn't want to ruin the sound quality or anything, but since Daphne didn't react, Alice was going to assume that it went fine. The small microphone was in the palm of her hand, and she cast her gaze back at Noah.
"How are you feeling?" he asked quietly.
"I'm okay," she reassured him. "This is really random, but how is your grandfather?"
He smiled at her. "He's doing well. I'm going to see him tonight."
"That's good," she said happy to hear that his grandfather was doing well. "Send him my regards."
"I will," he whispered. "Despite him not knowing who you are. You should come by soon when you're free."
"I'll see," she answered with a waiting finger to her lips.
Noah slipped his microphone back on prompting her to do the same, and Alice smiled when she heard Rita say that she wanted someone to be louder than she was since she could rarely speak up for herself, so she would want someone to be able to do so for her. It was very cute, to say the least.
"Why don't we start wrapping up?" Daphne said. "It has been so much fun to have you two with us today."
Alice grinned knowing that they were approaching their hour mark. "Yes, likewise. It has been an amazing experience to see everything behind the scenes of what it was like in the radio recording room. For those who want to stop by, I would encourage you all to. Shout out to Daphne, Sharon, Rita, and Liam for being so kind to host Noah and I today."
Noah nodded. "I hope that our advice was conveyed in the best manner. We thank you for again."
"This has been the INVU daily radio, and we hope you tune in again tomorrow for another hour of your time. Thank you," Daphne said as she motioned to Elijah to stop, and the red lights of the recording suddenly flashed off.
Alice clapped as she stood and bowed her head to those around the table. "Thank you. I had a lot of fun."
Daphne grinned. "I as well. I'm glad that Madeline reached out for a fun little session today."
Alice smiled knowing that she felt the same, and she looked over at Noah to see if he was ready to go. They pushed their chairs in, and Noah went over to go speak with Liam while she walked over to where Rita and Sharon were still sitting while Daphne dug into the boxes that she brought in earlier to reveal large packets of pastel stationary paper.
"Just a gift for your homeroom. The whole box is full of them," Daphne said.
"Oh, you're too kind," Alice said.
"I used some funds from the club to help support you two," Daphne winked.
Alice laughed. "Thank you so much. I'm sure Madeline will be delighted."
"Ha, I will have to get her reaction later."
Alice took out her phone and passed it to the girls. "I don't have any of you on socials yet."
The girls added in their information to her phone so that she would have a way to chat with them and catch up, and Alice waved at them one last time and bowed once more to Liam as she and Noah left the room with the large boxes in hand. Before she was about to slide the door closed, they were able to hear Daphne's kind words 'Please come again!".
