Chapter 6 - Blank Canvas

A light tap on the door made Alice swing her eyes from the windows where she normally found herself losing attention and lightly laughed at the image before her. Noah slowly kicked his heels wearing a loose white button-up with a mint green sweater vest tossed over top and khaki pants along with brown dress shoes to match his brown belt. He looked like an adorable puppy.

His hair was left loose, falling in haphazard yet elegant waves as usual. The makeup team quickly touched up his face adding a pink lip tint making his overall vibe much more delicate and approachable.

Bella motioned with her hand for Noah to hurry. "Noah, you can sit to Alice's left, and we will get started."

"Of course," he replied smoothly while taking the only open seat next to her.

Now that he was beside her, Alice was painfully aware of his presence and uncomfortably shifted around. Bella got them into the position she wanted, and it took a bit since they were stiff. Eventually, Bella gave up and leaned back on her heels, tapping the table nearby.

Alice had only ever modeled once for an online shopping mall catalog, so she was trying her best to get in the zone. It wasn't working for Bella, and her crew ended up getting a different chair for Alice to sit on, a smaller stool so that she can lean her head into Noah's frame.

"Loosen up," Bella called from behind the camera lenses.

Alice nodded bringing a bright smile onto her face and tilted the side of her face into his chest. Bella started taking shots, and the crew played around with the lights from cooler to warmer tones. Alice pulled back since her side was beginning to go numb and glanced up.

"Sorry. Pardon me," Alice whispered.

Noah's brows came together in confusion, and she lifted her hands to his face, her fingers skimming his jawline before bringing his face down closer to hers. His eyes darted to her lips, and she blushed. She was regretting the spontaneous action in an effort for their chemistry to look more natural.

"Perfect, Alice!" Bella encouraged.

Alice held still for a while to let Bella get a few more shots before moving away. "I'm sorry."

"It's okay. We have to get in character as lovers," Noah said winking as he tilted her face back at him.

"Why did I decide to do this?" Alice muttered under her breath while giving him an embarrassed smile.

"We have to sell the game for our class," he smiled. "I wonder what the prize will be."

"It will probably be something big considering how much the dean was excited," Alice answered.

The prize clearly wasn't going to be money considering many came from golden spoons, but maybe a fun class trip. Her face brightened when she settled on the fact. It was definitely something she could see the dean planning and setting up.

She fixed his shirt which was riling up since it was a little tight around his shoulders, smoothing the bunched material around his neck. His brow went up from her uncharacteristic action, and she pressed a hand on his chest to get a little bit more space between them when he wedged his body into hers.

"Why are you chickening out?" he asked.

Alice turned her face away, biting her lip. "I'm not."

He pulled her closer to loop his arms around her, and she tilted her head back, almost clipping him in the chin. Noah grinned down at her, and Alice had to stop herself from laughing, holding tightly onto him.

The sound of the photo shutter went off, clicking and capturing every single moment. The white flashes of the camera made Alice's eye water, but it wasn't anything too distressing. The sounds of students yelling were able to be heard from the open windows, and Bella started to click through the photos to view them.

Alice wasn't sure what she expected when Madeline said that she was getting her photos taken for the poster to advertise their couple's game, but she didn't expect the true professionalism and effort put into the whole ordeal.

The cameras were of the best quality as were the sets, and there was even a digital monitor that showed how the photos turned out when Bella projected them up.

"Alright. Can you two change into the next outfit? We'll get the next set ready," Bella said.

Alice hopped off of the stool and stretched her arms above her head, trying to relieve the tension in her back. Dinah handed Alice her next outfit from the clothing rack that was all white that consisted of a dress. It was definitely a switch up from the colorful previous concept with this one being a blank canvas.

She walked back to the photo room and quickly changed into the satin pearl white dress with a large bow on the bust area. It was an extremely cute dress, one that Alice would love to purchase with her own money. She would need to ask Dinah for the details later. The shoes were platform heels with white bows to tie around the ankle, adding a much-needed four inches to her average height.

For her hair, it was left free flowing down her back, but Dinah added a jeweled encrusted headband to add more dimension to the outfit. Nadine slid a silver armband around her bicep and a thin jeweled necklace to highlight the main event of the bow in the front. Alice walked back to the set which was changed to a luxurious white drape instead of the normal white paper backdrop.
