There was no seat or any other objects provided, and Alice went and stood underneath the hot lights. Nadine fixed Alice's makeup, adding the powder to her face to mattify the thin sheen of perspiration underneath all the lights, and touched up her eye shadow with a cool toned brown color with a silvery white shimmer to make her eyes stand out.
Her lips were painted a muted muhly color finishing the makeup look. Alice liked getting her makeup touched up since it felt like she was the real deal entertainer or singer. Not that she ever would be, but it was nice to dream a new dream for a tiny bit.
Her hard work in her high school career to even make it to the academy was to chase and achieve her dreams, and the thing was, her dream profession wasn't anything too fancy like a doctor or anything along those lines.
She wanted to be a news anchor, the person reporting important information while looking cool and classy. Put together. Having a put-together lifestyle was a factor that she valued, and she took a long time to figure out what she wanted to do in the future.
She wanted a profession that focused on both making the world a better place and utilizing the looks that her parents had blessed her with. In the end, people would often remind her that it was the perfect job for her and that they could 'see' her doing it which solidified her choice with the confidence boost.
Alice blinked slowly when Noah entered back into the room to see that he had changed from his fresh guy to sexy guy. His hair was combed back and styled nicely. His outfit consisted of a white sweater with a red ace of hearts as the accent with cream slacks and cream boots.
It was quite a charming combination if Noah's face wasn't attached to the whole equation. She would have to give him bonus points for that.
"You look quite snazzy," Alice said.
"I don't know if should take that as a compliment or not."
"You should take it as a compliment. The word I was searching for was classy."
"Hm, something that I embody," Noah said with a lazy grin.
Alice scrunched her nose. "I highly disagree."
He stood alongside her while they also flew like a flock to touch him up as well, and Alice turned her vision to the fake florals that some were grabbing and setting onto the prop table. She didn't expect him to be in a playful mood, and it felt odd for her to have an easy interaction with him.
They weren't close or knew anything about each other at all, but Alice didn't need to be stingy about it. She was overthinking it all again. Bella was speaking to the man that was glued to her side most of the shoot, and they seemed to be intently discussing a matter with her waving her hands around to convey her point across.
Bella glanced back up, and her face went back to business.
"We'll get started," Bella said.
The makeup crew got off the set, leaving her and Noah under the spotlights. Alice stood closer to him, stretching out one leg in front of the other to elongate her body silhouette. They did some shots with an impersonal touch, carrying the cool stare that went along with the dark outfits before Bella instructed them to look more natural.
Noah lightly grasped her shoulders until they were face to face, and Alice leaned her head into his side, letting her head rest right over the top of his collarbone.
"What were you doing with Mrs. Saito earlier?" Alice asked, trying to fill the room which was quiet except for the sound of the shuttering clicks.
"Some kids were running down the halls and bumped into her. She dropped all the files she was holding, so I helped her pick them up."
Alice smiled. Despite the school being prestigious as it was, it still couldn't eliminate brats and immaturity. "Such an angel."
"I try."
"Mrs. Saito is an art teacher, correct?"
"Yes. I took a painting class with her last year."
"Wow, you do painting as well? What can't you do?"
Noah rolled his eyes. "The question is what can't you do, Alice."
"Is that a compliment?" Alice cheekily asked as her lips twitched.
"Yes, you should take it as a compliment."
She shifted through the hobbies that she tried to take up and failed. "Hm, I guess I can't sing?" Alice said.
"Why are you questioning yourself?"
"I think I sound good."
Noah grinned. "Now, that is a sign that you're tone-deaf."
"An eye for an eye," Alice sang.
"I can't drive."
"Can't or won't?"
"I would, but I am a menace to the roads."
Alice laughed. "You are the reason why people get anxiety while driving."
"That's probably true. I can't park for my life."
"How did you even get your license?"
"That's a good question."
Karissa handed Alice the pink roses that she earlier thought were fake since they looked too shiny and plastic-like, and Alice brought the flower to her nose to scent it. It smelt sweet and fresh, the petals blooming, a symbol of springtime, and Noah leaned over her shoulder to bring his nose to the petals.
"Can you bring the roses to your chin, Alice?" Bella asked. "We're going to do individual shots real quick."
Alice lifted the flowers to her face, squatting down and tilting her head while pouting. After, she handed the roses to Noah for his spotlight photos. He picked apart the petals, the pink wash of color falling to the ground with a seductive glint in his eyes. Alice clapped her hands together, her mouth in an o as she gave great reactions along with the rest of the crew.
Bella gave them an okay sign after finishing up the second outfit and waved for them to come over after she transferred the photos to the monitor mounted onto the wall. Alice scooted over to the desk area, curious about how the photos turned out, and clapped her hands once more in excitement.
"They look so good!" Alice exclaimed.
Bella grinned in satisfaction. "Thank you. It was all thanks to you two's hard work. I appreciate it."
"No, thank you for going out of your way to help us out," Noah answered.
The photos were extremely professional with the high-quality images and touch-ups that Bella showed as she smoothed out some places like smoothing out crease lines and whatnot.
Alice moved her face closer to the screen, staring at the image back at her, amazed by how pretty she looked. And Noah as well. She should give him some credit because, despite their struggle with how to interact with each other on camera, it seemed natural and romantic.
Her favorite image was the one where he was leaning down on her shoulder while she stared at the camera with a soft somber smile. It felt the most her, and she loved their positions in that photo along with the roses as a prop. Bella saw her reaction change while looking at the photo and saved it in a new file to which Alice and Noah insisted on helping her choose their best images.
