"I agree with you there. Being a priestess is something that you cannot escape from. If you break the rules set forth by the church, you'll be punished accordingly. So I think that's the main reason why you quit. Not wanting to be bound by the laws of the church. Am I right?" I asked Sigrid.
She nods her head as she agrees with my statement. "Exactly! I do not want to be a slave of the church!" She exclaimed.
I am glad that she feels that way about it.
"What about you, Ellyn?" Sigrid asks her friend. "Did you feel that way about the church?"
"Yes. But I have the duty of being a Saint, so I can't just leave the church. And it's not like I wanted to be a priestess anyway." Ellyn said as she sighed, "Being a saint is a lonely job. No matter what happens, no one will ever understand your feelings. They won't even try to understand you."
