Chapter 34 - The King of Plague

"Sir... that cloud?"

Camellia who accompanied Azel looked shocked when she saw the clouds coming from the west. The girl felt strange because the cloud appeared suddenly.

"Tell the remaining men, blow the horn. Signal the troops to withdraw."

"But why-"

"Just do it! Hurry up!" Azel exclaimed.

Without waiting for Camellia's reaction, Azel immediately headed to where his horse was tied. Riding on the saddle, the young man immediately galloped towards the west. He is like a madman who chooses to approach disaster rather than avoid it.

At the sound of the horn sound for the retreat command being shouted, the knights who were fighting became flustered. Unlike the knights, the five Viscounts and the leaders of the Heteromorphic race weren't flustered in the slightest. They immediately ordered the troops to withdraw even though they did not understand the reason.

As Azel drew closer to the city, the young man saw tens of thousands of troops retreating at a steady and orderly pace.

The knights were flustered when they saw Azel galloping towards them. But an order immediately sounded in their ears.

"Open a path! Retreat as far as you can!"

The tens of thousands of troops that lined up instantly opened a path for passage. Even though they were curious about why Azel was in such a hurry, they could tell that their master looked very serious. The Five Viscounts and the leader of the Heteromorphic race immediately ordered the troops to retreat faster.

Seeing the clouds approaching, Azel cursed, "Shit! The people at the west gate won't make it!"

Looking at the city walls that were getting closer and then at the horses that were starting to get tired, Azel sighed. The young man then stroked the horse's neck while smiling gently. Looking towards Blackrock City, he nodded.

"Good job! You'll be getting back with the group soon."

Not stopping the horse, Azel instead stood on the galloping horse. Using the momentum when the horse suddenly stopped, the young man jumped high immediately. Compressing the mana in the soles of his feet, he stomped the air a few times before finally managing to land on top of the defensive wall.

Not even having time to look back, Azel started running over the city's defensive walls before jumping onto the nearest building. The young man continued to run on the roof and then jumped from one building to another. The objective is clear… to the west gate by passing through the city.

Arriving at the central city fortress, Azel was starting to get tired. A frantic scream rang out from the west of the city. People had clearly begun to realize that what had come from the west was not a rain cloud but a disaster.

'Damn it! If I don't use it... I won't make it!'

Azel finally arrived at the top of the Blackrock fortress. Somewhat exhausted from running, the young man took a deep breath as he closed his eyes. He then ran fast then jumped from the top of the fort. More precisely, free fall.

As he fell down, the young man closed his eyes. Azel muttered "Whoever planned this, I really hate you!"

After that, from Azel's back came a black light like a blooming flower petal. The moment the black light disappeared, six raven-like wings with jet-black feathers exceeding the darkness were seen. At this time, Azel's true identity was finally revealed...

A descendant of an Abyssal Angel with extraordinary bloodline purity.

Different from the other families, it was said that the ancestor of the Dawnbringer Family wasn't someone from the demon continent. Although it is not known whether that is true or not, they themselves are a rare race called Abyssal Angels. The name for the angels who live in Hell.

There are only a handful of people who can be called Abyssal Angels now. Azel's grandfather, the Emperor, the first Prince, and several people. That being said, Abyssal Angels were extremely rare. On this continent, there are probably less than 100 Abyssal Angels that are still alive.

Ignoring his identity being exposed, Azel immediately flapped his wings. As if he was born to rule the sky, the young man instantly shot up and flew several hundred meters in a few breaths.

At the west gate, the orc and goblin troops that were trying to retreat looked pale. In less than a minute, the first wave of locust demons will arrive at the west gate of Blackrock city.

At that moment a black figure fell from the sky in front of the desperate troops. The silhouette immediately stood up while roaring.

"Hellfire magic... Great flame wall!!!"

A giant magic circle was created. From the center of the circle, two straight lines lead left and right. Not a moment later, a wall formed from black flames that was one hundred meters long and ten meters high appeared in front of everyone.

The hundreds of thousands of locust demons that were swooping down were unable to stop. When the creatures hit the wall of fire, they were instantly reduced to ashes. Also who saw that wiped the sweat from his forehead.

"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR, DAMN IT! RETREAT!!!"

The people who saw Azel's sudden arrival were naturally stunned. But they immediately woke up from their reverie when they heard the young man's exclamation. Without hesitation, those who were frightened immediately retreated as fast as they could.

'SHIT! SHIT! SHIT!'

Azel cursed inwardly when he saw the countless locust demons. His body felt very tired and his brain worked at maximum speed. If he couldn't stop this wave of plague, his people would suffer huge losses. It was even possible that they would be wiped out by the plague wave.

"Hellfire magic... Shadowflame Great Serpent!"

Two magic circles appeared again to Azel's right and left, from the two magic circles appeared two giant snakes that were shaped like a giant king cobra with two horns. Both creatures were made of black flames, similar to the one Azel had used to destroy the orc tribe.

The second wave of locust demons came. Using the three high level magics she was trying to keep at bay, Azel blocked the incoming waves of plague. Of course, there are still locust demons that have escaped. But obviously, almost all of the locust demons that came with a wave were instantly swept away by Azel's fire magic.

After half an hour, Azel who blocked several waves of attacks that contained hundreds of thousands of locust demons in each wave was getting tired. Even though he was still standing straight, his clothes were drenched in sweat. Streams of sweat were also pouring down his face.

Azel's golden eyes looked at the vast black cloud. Looking into the distance, the young man finally showed a smile on his face. A cold smile and a gaze that was filled with killing intent.

It's finally coming!!!

Staring into the distance, Azel's arms stretched out. Both of his hands were suddenly enveloped by black flames. At that moment, the two giant snakes suddenly roared into the sky.

Azel then brought his hands together while shouting "Hellfire magic combination... Shadowflame... IMOOGI!!!"

The two Shadowflame Great Serpent magics suddenly shot forward then flew towards the dark cloud made of locust demons. In the air, the two snakes coiled around each other then melted into one. When it finished, one could see a flood dragon-like creature whose entire body was made of black flames roared and then shot into the dark clouds.

Azel then snapped his fingers while muttering, "Die".

BOOOOMMM!!!!!

Heaven and earth instantly shook violently. It wasn't just the area around Blackrock City, even the distant cities felt the earthquake as well.

Giant fireworks are created. When the fire goes out, a giant hole is created in the middle of the 'cloud', making the evening sky radiate its light again.

Azel watched the locust demon troops suddenly stop attacking and stagnated. Among the countless locust demons, a black silhouette appeared. That figure was clearly the being that commanded the locust demon.

Seeing him, Azel's eyes flashed a cold light.

"You finally showed up."
