Chapter 9 - End of the Entrance Exam

The participants started battling with all their might. The fight was thrilling and fantastic for the crowd as they placed bets on who would emerge victorious. However, things took a turn when someone lost control and became overly excited.

"You idiot! Dodge to the left!" [Kyle]

"Look at your back! If you have so many skills, at least use them properly." [Kyle]

"Mark my words! You have zero chance of winning with how slowly you're attacking." [Kyle]

"Defend yourself! Do you even have a brain?" [Kyle]

The teachers sitting beside Kyle couldn't help but feel embarrassed. It was the first time in their lives that they had felt such embarrassment. They wished they could just throw Kyle back into the audience, but since George had asked him to sit there, they could do nothing but silently curse him.

The participants fighting near Kyle also heard the terrible remarks he was making. One of the participants, after losing, rolled up his sleeves and went to beat him up with his weapon. But Kyle was luxuriously sitting in the middle of ten to twenty teachers, so the participants had no choice but to grit their teeth in anger.

Neon, who witnessed the situation, covered his face with a black cloth. There was no way he was going to let anyone know that he was related to that jerk. Damn, he didn't even know who Kyle was!

Kyle, not realizing he had amassed over a hundred enemies, continued with his remarks until the final round concluded. He felt refreshed. He never knew watching other fights could be this exciting!

He picked up a glass filled with juice, oblivious to the fact that it belonged to the teacher beside him.

"Ahh! This is how we should live our lives. The performance would have been incredible if not for a few people ruining my mood."

Kyle smiled before handing the empty glass to the teacher on his left. However, the teacher looked at him with pure disdain.

'What the hell! Why does it feel like he's the teacher and we're his servants?'

The 200 victorious participants stood proudly in the center of the stage, basking in the cheers of the crowd. They were all overjoyed to have passed the final round and earned the opportunity to enter the prestigious Royal Academy.

Vice Principal George floated above them, offering his congratulations. He granted them an hour to bid farewell to their loved ones because, after the test, all participants had to depart for the Royal Academy immediately.

Kyle stood up from his chair and glanced at where his brother had been sitting, only to find an empty seat.

"Huh, where did Neon go?"

Suddenly, a familiar voice called out his name from behind.

"Kyle?"

Kyle turned around, only to find his brother's face concealed by a black cloth. He leaned in towards Neon, his brows furrowed.

"Why are you hiding your face? Did you run into an old enemy by accident?"

Neon had the urge to beat him up, but he controlled himself while cursing Kyle in his head.

'Rascal! If it weren't for you, would I need to hide my face?'

Nevertheless, he felt happy for Kyle. Initially, when Neon heard that the final round would be a one-on-one battle, he was certain that Kyle had no chance of winning. But luck was on Kyle's side, and he managed to enter the Academy without even participating in the final round!

Neon smiled warmly and gave Kyle a tight hug. Kyle was also a bit happy about getting into the Royal Academy, even with just a (B)-Rank talent. But deep down, he knew he might be kicked out soon because of his lack of strength. He hummed and patted Neon on the back.

'Don't worry, you'll see me again soon.'

Kyle wanted to meet his father and elder brother to boast about his achievements, but considering he had to leave with the Vice Principal, he wrote a letter and handed it to Neon to deliver.

In return, Neon gave Kyle the storage ring he was wearing. It contained a sword, some clothes, and money. Initially, Neon had only suggested that Kyle participate in the test to give him some real fight experience. He never imagined that Kyle would pass the entrance exam.

After bidding farewell to their families, all the victorious participants gathered in front of the Vice Principal.

George waved his hand and took out a massive ship from his storage ring. He gestured for everyone to board, and the crowd and participants gazed in awe at the grand ship. It was the largest ship they had ever seen.

The winners proudly entered the ship, waving at the crowd as they embarked on their journey. Once everyone was aboard, the ship gracefully ascended into the sky, disappearing from view.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the youngsters eagerly looked forward to the incredible experiences awaiting them at the Royal Academy. The journey to the academy was smooth, and since everyone was tired from the final round after a while they went to rest in the ship's various rooms.

As for Kyle, he stood at the front and gazed at the clouds. It was his first time flying, or maybe the last as well. The cold wind caressed his face as he took in the beautiful scenery in front of him.

"How high are we? What is this ship made of?"

He wondered aloud, inspecting every inch with curiosity.
