Vice Principal George was standing at the edge of the training ground, keeping an eye on the students. He turned around and glanced at the beautiful woman standing beside him.
"What do you think of the new students?"
Aliza looked around and pointed out a few students.
"There are some really promising ones, but the ones that stand out to me are Alec, Carcel, Lara, Mia, Lily, and Nine."
George nodded, but then he noticed something that made him frown. Aliza noticed his expression.
"What's wrong?"
George scanned the training ground.
"That student is not here."
Aliza looked at the training ground and thought about Kyle, whom she had heard about from the Vice Principal.
"The one who got the (S)-rank skill during the entrance exam?"
George simply hummed in reply.
Aliza smiled and mentally added Kyle's name to her blacklist. Little did she know that she wouldn't be seeing Kyle's face anytime soon.
"He was absent today, but don't worry. The next time he shows up, I'll make sure he understands the consequences of skipping my class."
George sighed and looked at Aliza before leaving.
'I wish it was Alec who got the (S)-rank skill instead of Kyle. What a waste.'
.....
Meanwhile, Kyle, who was unaware that Aliza had added him to her blacklist, immersed himself in books about Bloodlines. Despite noticing the sun setting outside, he decided to skip class since it was already too late.
Throughout the night, Kyle delved into the books, absorbing knowledge about monster bloodlines. He discovered that monsters can awaken their bloodline under intense pressure or when they reach adulthood, with the timing varying for each type of monster.
Although the information he found mostly pertained to monsters, Kyle remained determined to search for anything that could be useful for him.
A week later, the first floor of the library was still the same, but there was something odd about a specific corner behind a bookshelf. It looked like someone had made that corner their home.
Next to a young man who was engrossed in flipping through two different books, there were clothes, food, shoes, and other necessities neatly placed.
While Kyle was busy reading, the old librarian stood on his left side, staring at him with a dark expression.
It had been a week since Kyle entered the library, and he showed no intention of leaving, except for bathroom breaks and when he got hungry. He even ignored the librarian's presence.
'This kid, doesn't he have any classes? What the hell is he reading? I haven't slept for a week because he's always in the library!'
The librarian lightly slapped Kyle on the head before grabbing him by the collar with one hand.
"Ugh, What... "
Kyle was startled when the librarian suddenly picked him up.
He tried to free himself from the old man's grip, but the difference in strength was too great. No matter how hard he struggled, Kyle couldn't break free. Eventually, he stopped resisting and accepted his fate.
The old man gave Kyle a strange look as he suddenly stopped struggling. Normally, someone entering the Academy would be at least (F)-rank, but seeing Kyle so powerless made him question if Kyle was even (F-)-rank.
The librarian tossed him out of the library before speaking with a smile that wasn't polite at all.
"Free reading time is over kiddo. If you want to enter the library again, you'll need to bring some points with you."
"Ugh."
Kyle looked at the librarian, confused. Wasn't the first floor free to use? Why did he suddenly kick him out?
He stood up and dusted off his clothes. He wanted to argue, but seeing the librarian's smile, he knew it was better to leave quietly. Immediately, he started walking back to his dorm.
"It seems I can't enter the library anymore, but it's okay. I already found something useful."
Yesterday, while browsing through different books, he stumbled upon a picture of a flower called the 'Red Snow Flower'. It had the power to aid monsters in bloodline awakening. However, the flower could only be found in scorching hot locations, and it was uncertain if it would work for him since it was specifically beneficial to monsters.
Nevertheless, Kyle made the bold decision to venture to the mountain situated behind the Academy. He discovered that among the three mountains surrounding the Academy, the one at the back was the hottest. If he could climb high enough, there was a chance he could find the elusive 'Red Snow Flower'.
But since leaving the Academy without permission was a no-go, Kyle decided to take on a mission.
Once he returned to his dorm, Kyle took a long bath. After spending a whole week in the library, he definitely needed it.
As he emerged from the shower with wet hair, he glanced at his untouched bed.
"Sigh, I got too carried away and neglected my rest. I'm going to sleep the entire day once I'm back!"
Kyle made a promise to himself before making his way to the mission hall.
