Chapter 12 - First Class / Library

Once everyone's talent was recorded, the teachers handed out identification tokens to the students. They also laid down some strict rules, prohibiting actions like killing, fighting, thievery, or any malicious deeds within the Academy. However, if a situation couldn't be resolved peacefully, students were allowed to challenge each other in the Academy Arena.

Even noble titles held no weight in the face of these rules, as the Academy would punish anyone who dared to break them. On the bright side, students had the freedom to skip classes and practice in seclusion as they pleased. However, they were required to complete monthly missions assigned by the Academy.

These missions rewarded points, which could be exchanged for various things like money, art books, skills, and more within the Academy. A young teacher then took the students on a tour of the vast Royal Academy.

As it was the first day, students only needed to register themselves in the main building to find out their assigned dorms and check their class schedules. After exploring the Academy for a while, all the students headed to the main building to register. It was quite crowded with students from different years.

Kyle made his way through the bustling crowd and spotted a large board not too far from him displaying the class schedule. Right next to it was a receptionist desk where a young man was handing out dorm keys to the new first-year students.

In the Academy, students were divided into three different years. The newcomers would start in the first year and, as they passed tests and gained knowledge, they would progress to the next year. This continued until their third year, when they became strong. After that, they had the choice to serve the Academy or leave to pursue their own path.

After receiving his key, Kyle joined the other students in heading to their assigned dorms for some much-needed rest. Everyone was exhausted after the hectic past few days. Kyle found his dorm and entered a small room with a single bed in the middle, a cupboard, and a small desk in the corner.

Although he sat on the bed for a while, Kyle was too excited to sleep. Instead of resting, he decided to leave the dorm and head towards the Academy Library. The library had four floors, with the first floor containing basic information about the world. The second to fourth floors housed different rank arts and skills that could be learned through hard work. However, to access any floor beyond the first, points were required.

But Kyle's main focus wasn't on skills or arts. He was eager to learn more about the 'Celestial bloodline' mentioned in his stats. That's why he only needed the information available on the first floor, which covered details about the world.

In the end, even if he wanted to explore other floors, he couldn't because he didn't have points. Those points could only be earned by completing missions or tasks assigned by the Academy.

When Kyle entered the library, he found the first floor deserted. Most students preferred to go to the upper floors instead of staying there.

Despite the librarian's suspicious stare, Kyle persisted in searching for books about bloodlines. He couldn't find any information about humans having bloodlines, but he didn't give up. Instead, he started collecting books about monster bloodlines.

After gathering more than twenty books, Kyle found a cozy spot behind a bookshelf to read without being noticed by the librarian. He was so absorbed in his reading that he didn't even realize the long night slipping away.

....

The next morning, it was already 8:00 AM, and the classroom for the new first-year students was packed. Everyone wanted to make sure they weren't late for their first class.

The classroom looked pristine, with benches and chairs neatly arranged for the students. Among the seated students, there was a group of four that caught everyone's attention. Many boys and girls couldn't help but steal glances at them and blush.

Those four were Alec, Carcel, Lara, and Mia. When Alec and Carcel entered the classroom, Lara spotted them and suggested they all sit together. To her surprise, they agreed. Since Mia only knew Lara in the class, she joined them too.

After a while, the instructor walked in and stood behind the podium. She scanned the class with a deep expression.

"Today is your first day, so nothing too special. But I hope nobody slacks off during my class."

The instructor's gaze briefly fell on Alec, Lara, and a few others, as she had heard about them from the Vice Principal. She placed her hand on the podium and looked at the students.

"Now, let's start with attendance and self-introductions. I'm Aliza Park, your instructor for this year."

All the students turned their attention to the instructor, recognizing her immediately.

"Aliza Park? She's one of the famous individuals from the previous generation. She's currently the youngest (S+)-rank in the entire kingdom."

The students whispered among themselves. Aliza was not only beautiful with long black hair and a stunning figure, but she was also known for being cold and ruthless.

Aliza took her hands off the podium and picked up the attendance sheet placed on top.

"Since it's your first day, I won't take up too much of your time. I know you all must be exhausted from the lack of sleep over the past three days. So, I'll keep this first lesson short."

"Alright, let's begin with attendance."

She quickly scanned the sheet and called out the first name.

"Lily."

The student named Lily eagerly raised her hand and confidently replied.

"Present!"

Aliza gave Lily a quick nod before continuing.
