As I stepped into the ballroom for the Color K Award night, my heart filled with a sense of relaxation and excitement. I never imagined that this night would turn into one of reminiscing and heartache. When I saw Kyung Mi in Du Ho's arms, my heart rate increased, and all the memories of our past flooded back.
"Baby Du, do you know her?" Kyung Mi asked, pulling me out of my thoughts.
Du Ho's gaze shifted towards me, and he let out a surprised gasp. "Ah ha hmm..yes, a friend from my Jeju days," he replied.
I stood there, frozen like a statue. I had so many questions to ask him, but I couldn't bring myself to speak. That's when Min-su came over and poked me with his finger, pulling me away from the uncomfortable situation.
"Ayoung!!! "Honey, are you still here?"
"Ah, have you come? There is someone introduce to you." I said, hoping to avoid the awkwardness.
"Who, baby?" Minsu asked.
"That's what I told you." "This is Du Ho," I replied, trying to keep my voice calm.
"It's nice to meet you. Let's go, baby," Minsu said, pulling me inside. Even though he sat down, he didn't let go of my hand.
"I'm not running." "Open your hand," I said, trying to pry my hand away from his.
"No. "I want to hold your hand," he replied with a playful smirk on his face.
As the award ceremony began, my heart filled with excitement and anticipation. The beautiful songs and dances filled the room with joy and celebration. When they announced that the award went to popular actor Hwang Min-Su for Spring Together, I felt incredibly happy.
He took the award and said, "Thank you for everyone behind me, and thank you minions.", As he handed me the award, he whispered in my ear, "This is the first award you will receive from me." I whispered back, "Congratulations, Moon," feeling a sense of pride and admiration for him.
After the ceremony, I headed back with Byung Ho, while Minsu stopped for a media conference. We went to Yoshie's house and watched Minsu live with Yoshie.
As the reporters continued to ask Minsu questions, one unexpected question caught us all off guard. "Minsu, can you tell me who the girl was with you tonight?"
I watched Minsu's face change, but his answer surprised me. "Yes, she is special to me. She is the person who is closest to me after my family, my team, and my fandom," he replied.
As the live broadcast ended, I couldn't help but feel a mix of happiness and nervousness. "Yoshie, what will happen next?" I asked her.
"What's going to happen, Yoshie?"
"Soon you're going to marry," she said with a smile.
That night, I couldn't sleep, my mind racing with thoughts of Minsu and our future. When I finally woke up, it was already 9 in the morning, and I quickly ran to the living room.
"What is this?" I asked in surprise as I saw Byung, Yoshie, Yull, and Jang Suha walking in.
"It's breakfast, silly." "Come and join us," Yoshie said with a warm smile.
As I sat down and joined them, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the people in my life. And even though I didn't know what the future held, I was determined to make the most of every moment with the people I loved.
As I sat in my living room while eating, scrolling through my phone, I came across a news article about me and Min. I couldn't believe the amount of attention it was getting.
"Why are these people hating me?"
"Don't think about others. Think about you and Min."
I could see what they were saying in the article. An unbelievable number of news posts were created about us. There were many comments on them, some of which were hateful, while others were supportive.
"Oera is better than this girl. Dating for money Is a girl like Min suitable for writing a webtoon? Dating because he is popular," one comment read.
My heart sank as I read through the comments. "Why are you telling me this?" I asked.
"Ayoung, don't worry." "That's what people are like," Yoshie reassured me.
"Ayoung, It is because of hateful comments like that that many idols have broken up their beautiful relationships. As long as we are here, we will not allow that to happen to you two. We know who you are. Don't think about these things; be strong," Yull added.
I tried to stay strong, but it was hard. "Hmm" was all I could manage to say.
"You know, Ayoung, Min thinks about you more than you." He told us to go to you last night.
"Did he say that, Byung Ho?" I asked, tears welling up in my eyes.
Suddenly, my phone rang. It is him.
"My girl, I'm coming to pick you up tonight at 8. Be nice and wait until I come. Don't cry." Min's voice came through the phone. He didn't hear me crying, but he knew when I was in trouble and was always there for me.
I tried to hold back my tears as I hung up the phone. I was grateful to have Min in my life. He was always there for me, even when things got tough. I knew that with him by my side, I could face anything.
I waited eagerly for Minsu to arrive at 8 p.m.; the bracelet he had given me sparkled in his favorite color. As soon as his car pulled up, he stepped out and greeted me with a charming smile.
"So, my princess, are you ready for a good night?" he asked playfully.
"What the hell is this?" I laughed.
"I treat my girl as a princess."
"Are you crazy?" "What are you doing, Min?"
He didn't answer, but instead blindfolded me with a ribbon. I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. "What is this, Minsu?" I asked.
"Shh, don't make a sound," he whispered in my ear before lifting me up and carrying me away.
Eventually, he removed the blindfold, and I gasped in awe at the beautiful location. Yull, Yoshie, Byung, and Jang soon arrived, surprising me with a birthday celebration.
"Did you plan all of this?" I asked with a grin.
"The master plan is mine!" Byung exclaimed proudly.
As we celebrated, I couldn't help but feel grateful for Minsu. Despite his status as an idol, he always looked out for me and was there for me through thick and thin. It wasn't his fame that I loved, but the kind and caring person that he was.
After a while, Minsu pulled me aside into a beautifully decorated area. He handed me a small box, and I eagerly opened it to find a stunning moon necklace.
"It's beautiful," I said with a smile, hugging him.
"I have something to say," he said, touching my face. "No matter what happens, I will always be with you. I love you."
I was speechless, my heart racing with excitement and disbelief. He kissed my nose and then my lips, sending fresh hope coursing through my veins. I felt as if I was in a dream, and I didn't want to wake up.
I hugged him tightly, covering my mouth with my hand to hide his chest. Despite the fleeting moment of joy, I knew deep down that my love for him would never fade.
As I lay in bed that night, I couldn't help but think about the kiss I shared with him. It felt like a dream, and yet the memory was so vivid. I felt a pang of guilt wash over me as I thought about my actions. But I knew I couldn't dwell on it forever. Minsu, Byung Ho, and Jang Uk were off in Thailand for a show, and I knew it was going to be tough being away from them for so long.
Being in love with an idol was not an easy thing. The fandom was overwhelming, and sometimes it felt like I had to let them go for a while. It was just the nature of the beast. Meanwhile, Minsu's parents had just moved into a new apartment, and I wanted to thank them for their support during Halmoni's funeral. I brought a beautiful Dorisak box, along with a strawberry cake and a Blue Flower Antique Dinewear Set.
When I arrived, Minsu's mother welcomed me with open arms. "Oh, my dear child, why are you sad?" she asked. I explained that I had come to thank them for their kindness during a difficult time. Minsu's father arrived shortly after, and I couldn't help but feel a bit nervous. But they were both so warm and welcoming.
As we chatted, Ha Joon arrived, and I couldn't help but smile. "Ah, this is a handsome brother."
He seemed surprised to see me, but quickly recovered. "Is the rumor true that you're in love with our brother?" he asked. I blushed, feeling a bit embarrassed. But Minsu's parents just smiled knowingly. "Minsu told us too," they said.
As the evening wore on, I found myself feeling more and more at ease with Minsu's family.
"Sister Ayyoung..."
When I left, Ha Joon came running. I was talking to him from downstairs. Ha Joon even came to talk to me before I left, assuring me that everything would be alright. "Don't think about what's going on on social media," he said. "We're with you."
As I waited at the bus stop, my mind was racing with thoughts of the recent rumors swirling around me. Just then, my phone rang, and Yoshie's name flashed on the screen.
"Is there any problem?" I answered with trepidation.
"Ayeung, look what happened," she said urgently.
As I listened to her describe the damning post she had seen online, I felt like the world was closing in on me.
"Yoshie, what is going on? This is big trouble," I said, my voice shaking with fear.
The accusing words felt like a sharp knife pointed directly at me. When I finally made it home, I couldn't hold back my tears any longer. I felt helpless and frustrated that people were talking about me and spreading lies and hurtful words. The next day at work, I overheard the whispers of two girls behind me.
"Isn't this the girl who caught Min Su? And if that's not enough, another boy is so greedy for money," they sneered.
I tried to hold my head high, but it was hard when people seemed to be judging me without knowing the full story. Thankfully, Mrs. Han saw my distress and came to offer some words of comfort.
"Don't think about that; be strong," she said kindly. I simply nodded, unable to find the words to express my gratitude.
