Chapter 6 - The Holy Pope, Sen

After breakfast was over, Fu Zhen needed to go back to the company. Yesterday, he rushed to the hospital without getting anything done so there were a lot of things to do.

Fu Zheng and An Yan were also busy people but leaving their younger son alone when he just left the hospital yesterday was not an option so the two pushed back work and remained in the house.

Seeing his dads who decided to remain home, Fu Zhen too had a thought of not going to work but Fu Yue saw through him and quickly pushed him out of the door, he reprimanded,'' As a boss, you need to set an example for your employees, don't slack off!''

Having his thoughts spoken out loud, Fu Zhen argued back,'' Who said that I want to slack off? You are thinking too much!''

Fu Zhen grumpily fixed his suit jacket and begrudgingly strutted out but just as he reached the car his younger brother's voice suddenly sounded from behind.

''Ge! Come back early, I will make dinner tonight!''

With his back still facing toward Fu Yue, Fu Zhen gave a casual Mm before getting into the car and quickly closed the car door. Therefore, Fu Yue did not manage to see his smile upon hearing him say Ge instead of Dage.

The driver uncle who has been with the Fu family for a long time couldn't help but laugh," Even though it is a pity that Second Young Master Fu lost his memories but seeing how cheerful he is now I couldn't help but be reminded of when he was little."

Listening to the driver's words, Fu Zhen also had the same thoughts.

Before his little brother's Omega traits came out, he was a cheerful kid and liked to play with him a lot so when he slowly started to change and was no longer close to him, Fu Zhen missed those days terribly.

This was one of the reasons why Fu Zhen was not suspicious of his drastic change and could accept him easily.

Presumably not being shackled by the mindset of genders, he could be more like himself as an individual.

Back to the other side, Fu Yue spent almost the entire morning with his dads before noticing their phones vibrating nonstop which he forced them to deal with their work instead of idling around with him.

When it was almost lunchtime, Fu Yue stepped into the kitchen to help Aunt Xing cook so that he could spend more time getting along with her.

His parents would soon return to the main house while his big brother would be busy going to his company so the person that he would spend the most time with in the future would be Aunt Xing.

He also needed her understanding of him locking himself in his room to play games afterward so it wouldn't hurt roping her to his side beforehand.

Fu Zhen could not make time to come for lunch so the three of them enjoyed the meal together before Fu Yue excused himself back to his room saying that it was related to his streaming work.

Fu Yue hasn't told them about his thinking of entering the e-sport industry yet.

Firstly, no matter how much alike the concept of the game was, Fu Yue still needed to familiarize himself with items and get to know every champion in the game so simply speaking, he was a total noob.

In addition, the people around him were stuck with the impression that he was bad at gaming so telling them now would gain nothing other than doubt.

Secondly, his age was also a problem. 21 years old was already considered old in the e-sport career, not to mention debuting at this age was even more unbelievable.

In the past, Fu Yue accidentally matched against INF's ex-mid-laner and won which was why he caught the Coach's eyes. He later got an offer to go to the youth training camp and after various tests and challenges did he prove himself to be qualified as a pro gamer.

Of course, he did not become a starting player right away. Only after playing as a substitute for a year did they decide to let him become a starter.

However, in his current state, Fu Yue could not take this route because he would need to waste at least two years by doing so and he could not afford it.

In conclusion, going back to being a pro player was incredibly hard for Fu Yue in his conditions.

Not only did he need to skip going to the youth training camp he also needed to start as their starting mid-laner for the next season which would be coming in another three months.

Therefore, Fu Yue had no more time to waste because it was already a quarterfinal in his region, one week later the region champion would be announced and the play-in stage would start in another month.

So it wouldn't be long before the transfer period opened then closed and the player list participating for the next season came out.

Fu Yue needed to be noticed before that and got recruited.

After everything worked out he would then tell his dads the news before officially starting his career as a pro player.

Redirecting his focus back to the present, after installing the game, Fu Yue immediately clicked on the game icon.

A few seconds later, the logo of the game popped up before disappearing showing an open window of a loading screen.

As the game needed time to compress the data while waiting the cinematic of the newly arrived champion was being played along with his champion's soundtrack echoing in the background.

The animation started with a bird's eye view of Krakhan City, the capital city of the Rudz Empire. In this Empire, God was worshiped and revered so the temple's influence spread far and wide all across the country. Most buildings here were white and there were statues erected everywhere.

Standing tall and above was the Krakhan Temple which seemed to overlook the entire city and soon the scene switched to seeing priests and sisters quietly standing in line while staring solemnly at the altar.

The camera shifted to the altar where two people were seen, one stood and one knelt.

An old man with gray hair holding a scepter signifying the identity of the pope looked gently at the person who was kneeling in front of him.

The kneeling person's face was not shown as he had his back toward the camera. That slender figure dressed in a pure white robe adorned with intricate decorations design around the hem of his robe and sleeves emitted inexplicable grace and elegance.

The sunlight that penetrated through the stained glass softly fell on his entire body causing his pure white long hair that helplessly fall like a waterfall alongside his face to shine, exuding a sense of holiness.

" Sen, you have proven yourself worthy of being God's most devoted servant. I, hereby, declare you the next pope."

The kneeling man slowly lifted both of his hands to receive the scepter lent to him by the old pope, in a gentle voice he promised," It is my honor to serve God Kharas, I will not disappoint him, and our people in fulfilling my duty as the Holy pope."

After saying those words, the young man slowly stood up and fully portrayed his tall and slender figure before turning around to watch the people that were standing below.

At this time, the appearance of this young pope was finally revealed as he had a face as beautiful as an angel with a pair of bright golden eyes indicating his strong divine power.

The music dropped in this scene as the image of the young pope calmly looked forward as if staring through the screen at the player sitting in front of the computer. However, all of a sudden, the music slowly changed, becoming unhurried and creepy as the pope was seen walking into his resting place and was all alone.

Standing in front of the mirror, his slender hand reached out to touch the surface.

His face was still the serene and revered pope but the next second that the camera shifted to the reflection in the mirror, it showed a glimpse of a wickedly smiling pope with a pair of scarlet eyes.

Approaching the end, black mist gradually enveloped the entire screen as the logo of the game popped up once again along with a cunning voice heard in the background.

" Kharas, surely I will not disappoint you… hehe"

Finally, Fu Yue was at the login screen. Since this was not an official name in the competition, he could come up with whatever name he wanted.

After registering a new account, he was brought to the game's home page.

Taking a big deep breath, Fu Yue cheered himself," Okay, let's get to it."

He no longer had a hand injury but if his hands couldn't keep up with his brain, it would still be a lost cause for him.

Fortunately, despite being in a different body, his condition was still the same in his prime time, to which Fu Yue unconsciously smiled.

His voice could no longer suppress his excitement about being able to play games normally again.

" TOBH, Here I come!"
