Chereads / The Mid Laner Belongs To The Jungler / Chapter 8 - First Game (1)

Chapter 8 - First Game (1)

Tonight, Fu Yue was intending to play a real match so he could be careless about his Ge's complicated mood after hearing his honest reply.

Since his account was newly registered, Fu Yue had to go through the tutorial for a while before the game no longer told him what to do.

Thankfully, TOBH did not require a certain level to unlock the rank mode as long as you owned more than 20 champions so Fu Yue wasted no time queueing in rank instead of playing in casual mode.

Just a few seconds after he clicked the match button, the game immediately found him a match which he promptly accepted.

Joining in the lobby, Fu Yue was assigned to go mid since he did choose his preferred position as a mid-laner and fill roles.

As luck had it, Fu Yue was on the blue side and was the first to pick the champion so he paid no heed and immediately locked in Sen.

Sen was just released to the live server three days ago thus it was quite common to see a lot of players choose to play him as he was new.

It was just that the downside of having a new champ in your team was that it was likely they were going to run it down because they did not know how this hero worked yet.

As expected, the mood of the blue team instantly dampened upon seeing Sen being locked on the first floor.

Third floor : [ Here we go another Sen... Another griefer...]

Second floor : [ It seems like this one is a real deal. Just look at his name lmao]

At this message, everyone uniformly looked at the name of the person on the first floor and collectively went silent.

No Inted Just Bad

Fourth floor : [ First floor, is your name real? ]

Fu Yue, who just closed his rune page finally looked at his team chat.

First floor : [ It is more real than a true gold brother :D ]

Everyone,''...''

Okay, I guess this game is fucked now.

With no hope left in this game, the blue team which consisted of newbies entered the game with a heavy heart.

Not knowing his team's dispirited atmosphere, Fu Yue bought some mana potions and starting items before pathing his way to the mid-outer turret.

By the time Fu Yue arrived, the minions haven't spawned yet so he just left his Sen to do his dance which was a ballet to kill time.

Sen was an A with a tall and slender body clothed in a pure white robe with golden thread embroidered around the hem of his sleeves and collar.

As a result, the image of a priest in a white robe spinning along with his long white hair flying was so beautiful that his teammates who somehow briefly looked over were all speechless.

Unaware of his teammates' thoughts, Fu Yue pulled down the panel to see what his enemy began with and silently started to farm minions after the wave arrived.

The map of the game was divided into two territories that belonged to the blue and red teams.

The two jungles mirrored each other and there were three lanes once you walked out of your base.

The three lanes were called Top-lane, Mid-lane, and Bot-lane. Unlike the two side lanes that were like a detour route to the base, Mid-lane was a shortcut that was directly paved through the two jungles.

Due to this, even though the minions on each lane spawned at the same time, the mid-minion wave clashed with the enemy's minions before the other two lanes.

That's why unless there was an invade or needed to drop vision, mid-laners should arrive at the outer turret without doing anything unnecessary lest missing some of the cs and exp.

Fu Yue faintly glanced at his opponent's movement and quickly ruled that this was a total rookie.

The champion that his enemy was using was called Mo, the dark sorceress. She was one of the starter champions that the game gave him for free after completing the tutorial missions.

Mo had a simple mechanic and was listed as an easy-difficulty champion so most of the new players often started with her.

However, Fu Yue did not judge the player who played Mo as a noob due to this reason instead he observed their game controls to be able to come to this conclusion.

The player before him barely moved and missed a lot of cs. Despite having a range advantage, Mo stood too far away from him whenever he slightly moved forward in her direction.

Not even one minute in and Fu Yue could see that this person has never played MOBA before.

Even though Fu Yue felt a bit sorry for the other person his actions spoke otherwise. As if it was not miserable enough for Mo to miss last hitting minions now she got completely zoned off from the wave by Sen.

In fact, Sen was not an early champ so in the beginning, there was almost nothing for him to trade with Mo had she gone aggressive with him.

Only after hitting level 6 would Sen become problematic.

In summary, Sen was difficult to operate because he had two forms; Light and Shadow.

In the beginning, players started with a Light form and after learning his R Sen would then be able to change to his Shadow form.

Light form's skills were a set of control and support skills. In contrast, Shadow's skills were a set of huge burst damage so it was interesting to say that he was both a support and a mage.

As a result, Sen had 7 skills, 2 Qs, 2 Ws, 2 Es, and R.

Since he was just released three days ago, an optimum build for this champ hasn't appeared yet.

Due to his circumstances, Fu Yue needed to stand out in such a short time. That's why the best way to start was to make Sen become one of his signature heroes, and do a speedrun to become the number 1 rank Sen on the national server.

Before coming to the game, Fu Yue had already experienced a lot of builds before choosing one which worked the best for him so he was not playing blindly as his teammates were assuming.

Back to the present, since Fu Yue was lanning against a newbie his farming phase progressed smoothly and hasn't missed a single minion due to Mo's occasional interruption.

Precisely speaking, Mo's attacks were so obvious that Fu Yue could dodge them without putting much effort. In addition to her stiff movement, Fu Yue could easily land his skillshot on her causing the latter to miss a lot of health even though it shouldn't happen when he was still in his Light form.

As for Mo who got constantly hit by his Q was so frustrated that she simply hovered back and forth in front of her turret waiting for the wave to crash her turret since she thought it would be easier to farm this way.

Mo did play several games in casual mode before daring to play rank since it was still Iron and everyone would be all noobs anyway.

Mo also read Sen's skills and watched his gameplay a few times so she knew that he was not strong early.

In Light form, his Q was a root ability, W dropped a small circle that dealt damage to whoever stepped on it and E was a healing ability.

However, did not know why but this Sen was not afraid of her and was daring enough to stand close to the wave to last hitting minions while casually dodging her abilities.

As a result, Mo instinctively feared Sen and not daring to get close.

Fortunately, Sen seemed to be a civilian and did not play aggressively as long as she did not interrupt his farming session so she stopped trying to poke him while simply wishing to farm under her turret.

However, Mo was gravely mistaken to think that Fu Yue was a gentleman.

He did nothing because his damage was not enough to kill her yet not because he felt bad for killing her.

Letting him farm peacefully was something that Mo shouldn't let happen.

Because it was as if she was asking for a beating later on.

After hitting level 3 Fu Yue added another point to his W. While Mo did not have her guard up Fu Yue quickly tossed a Q at her before dropping W underneath her feet which gradually dealt damage while she was standing on it.

Mo's health was not full, to begin with so after being rooted to spend several seconds standing on the 2-point W, Sen actually was able to kill her with just several auto attacks.

'' First Blood! "

Mo,"..."

Meanwhile, Fu Yue who casually got a kill with max health continued to cs the minions while briefly pulling down the panel to look at his team's and the enemy's economy.

However, after seeing how some players even though they were not supports and still had a single-digit cs at this time Fu Yue wordlessly closed the panel and continued to last hitting minions.

As a professional player, it pained him to see how much gold has been lost.

Alas Iron.
