Chapter 4 - New Limits

Misty Peak Sect

In a private room which was decorated in such a noble way, around a table sat Han Hua, Lady Zhu and Liming Long. They all had a slight frown on their face as they looked at a certain blue book that Han Hua brought back.

The first to break the silence was Lady Zhu as she asked, " Are you sure he only cultivated this? Or rather, are you even sure that he jumped from a non-existent cultivation base to the fifth layer of body quenching?" Lady Zhu, despite not wanting to offend the person the person she referred to as a saint, she refused to believe that someone who had been powerless and almost died a day and a half ago would suddenly jump directly to the fifth layer of body quenching all while just looking at the pictures.

Liming Long furrowed his eyebrows and asked, " What proof do you have that he is at that realm?"

Han Hua Lowered her head and recalled when he just saved her, she was on the verge of losing consciousness when she saw him handling the dagger. She couldn't help but say it was beautiful. She decided to tell them about what she saw at that point in time, afterward she started to sweat a little and said with a troubled expression, " When I went to give him food and some conditions, the moment i stepped through the door and oppressive feeling came towards my face along with the palm of his hand reaching for me. I barely Managed to dodge it despite the obvious gap in our cultivation."

Lady Zhu and Liming Long looked at her with visible disbelief on their faces. They wouldn't dare to even imagine a mortal or even someone from their own sect achieving this within a day, especially someone that can't even understand their language.

They then continued to discuss about what to do with him while they flipped through the blue book that Han Hua brought back.

Meanwhile Varian just woke up and went down to the stream to was his face then went back up to the shack.

When he arrived at the shack he started stretching and started his daily routine that he kept up for 13 years of his life since he started his martial arts journey. Once he was done with that he decided to go over all the martial arts he'd learnt since he was a child, namely: Taekwondo, Muay Thai, Tai Chi, Wing Chun, Karate, Hapkido and even Krav Maga with many more to speak of.

After an hour of nonstop training he realized that he wasn't getting tired and so he decided to raise the intensity of his training. He threw a karate straight punch at full force and the ground infront of him sunk a little and went forward for 150 centimeters before stopping a little before hitting a tree. He was so shocked to see that when he decided to do the most basic move, a flash step which helps to close distance in martial arts and as he took a step forward he was launched straight into the tree head first which surprisingly did no damage to him.

"What the hell was that? I didn't even put that much strength into it and now I'm here." He said as his view was now upside down after falling. He got up and dusted himself off before walking back to where he was previously standing then sat down with a pondering expression on his face. He began organizing his thoughts and analyzing the situation at present. A few minutes passed and he suddenly jumped up and shook his body and jumped up and down and with a determined gazed he swore to find out the new limits of his new body.

One hour

Two hours

Three hours

He continued until the sun started to set and finally collapsed on the ground and taking deep breaths, he went on for nearly twelve hours until finally getting tired, the thing that struck him the most was that he only needed an hour to fully recover again.

He decided to end it for the day and took a dip in the stream before going back to the shack. Suddenly there was knock on his door which he quickly opened and saw Han Hua with a book in her hand, she seemed very serious at this moment than the previous times they met. She walked inside and tossed a pill his way which he hurriedly grabbed and put it into his mouth.

Sitting on the ground and facing each other were Varian and Han Hua, none of them showed any expression on their faces and just stared at each other before Han Hua finally broke the silence and said: " I'm here to teach you Chinese." She shoved the book she had towards him and said "How much you learn depends on your own ability."

"Thanks. I'll try to learn as much as possible." Varian said with the same expressionless face and tone.

"Then let us begin." Han Hua began her lecture and making use of the time she had left before the comprehension pill wore off. After an hour when it wore off she got up and left, she had practically went through everything thing there was to teach him from common words to nouns and even how to read and write at the basic level.

After Han Hua left Varian went outside and sat on the grass outside while staring at the stars, two faces popped into his head which made his heart start to beat faster. At this moment he swore that he would find a way to get back to them, even if when he appears and they had already moved on.
