Madam Zhou stared at her eyes as if to study her expression. Ilyana wasn't a liar. She had plenty of things she would hide but she dislike the idea of playing things unfairly even toward her own enemies. This is something that not only her mother knows but everyone in Pandora. While people make use of this, thinking it was Ilyana's weakness to be kind, no one had ever successfully taken advantage of her kindness.
When Ilyana showed a confused look and asked, "What are you saying? Who did I kill?"
She had killed plenty of people but none of her family members so far. While she often thought killing Samuel would help her from so much pain on her shoulders, she had held back. She didn't see anyone wearing funeral attires either so he must be alive.
