As the night grew darker, Ilyana and Lev stepped out from the place where Dexter had told them to meet. Driver Dean had made sure no one tailed them, making the road easier to be undetected as they had changed cars from her usual ones. Lev looked forward to find Dexter who seemed to have lighted a cigar between his fingers and flicking the lighter between his thumb and index fingers, opening and closing it so the red fire would cover his face.
Upon seeing Ilyana, his eyes lifted up but his sour mood continued as Lev had stood behind her like a Doberman dog. As much as he wanted to kick out Lev from the place, he had made a promise with Ilyana not to do anything to shoo off the foreigner. It still puzzled him to this day, the fact that Ilyana despise him but will still let Lev linger around her like a fly. Isn't he no different from that bastard?
