Jian had been working from home for the past week since Li Hua and Sheng's reunion. It was a nice break instead of being at the office surrounded by people all the time.
This past week has been a nice change that Sheng and Jian really needed. A homely life where they worked, Hua studied. She also cooked amazing food, studied, and worked out in the gym in the basement.
It was a peaceful and content time. Jian smiled waiting for lunch which was going to be soon. He wondered what Hua would cook today. His video chat icon popped up and he looked at the Caller ID. It was Pei.
Pei was Jian and Sheng's good friend. An IT and tech-savvy genius. He worked for Jian's team and did most of the investigative work. He was a white hacker and also helped the police with investigations too.
"Jian, it's me."
"Hmm...got anything?"
"Lots."
"Hold on, let me call Sheng."
Sheng also got into the office and looked puzzled to see Pei on the big screen.
"Pei, what's up?"
