The first day of school was always nerve-wracking, but this year, it was even more so. With Leo by my side, I felt like I could take on the world, but I knew that not everyone would be as accepting of our relationship.
As we walked through the halls, I could feel the stares and whispers of our classmates. Some were supportive, while others were clearly uncomfortable with us being together.
But Leo didn't seem to care. He held my hand and walked with me confidently, as if daring anyone to say something.
As we reached our first class, I saw Zack sitting at his desk. He looked up as we entered, his eyes widening in surprise.
Leo noticed him, too, and I could see the tension mounting in his shoulders.
