Chapter 22 - Chapter 22

The first few weeks of school were a bit of a blur. Between classes, homework, and trying to navigate my relationship with Leo, I barely had time to breathe.

But despite the stress, I was happy. Happier than I had ever been before.

Leo and I spent every spare moment together, talking about our hopes and dreams for the future. I was amazed at how much we had in common, and how easy it was to be around him.

But at the same time, I couldn't help but think about Zack. He was still in our classes, still trying to talk to me, and still sending me angry text messages when I didn't respond.

I knew that I had to talk to him, to explain why things couldn't work between us anymore. But I didn't know how to do it without hurting him.

One day, after school, I decided to meet with Zack and have a talk. I needed to clear the air, to let him know where I stood.

As we sat down in a nearby coffee shop, I could see the hurt and anger in his eyes. He knew that something was up, and he was ready for a fight.

But I wasn't. I simply told him the truth: that I couldn't be with him anymore, that my heart belonged to someone else.

Zack was devastated. He couldn't believe that I would leave him for someone like Leo.But I didn't listen to his words. I knew that I had to follow my heart, even if it meant hurting someone else.

As I walked away from the coffee shop, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. I had done the right thing, and now I could focus on my future with Leo.
