"Another," Yunfeng handed out his rice bowl to his mother eagerly, his attention still on the side dishes on his plate.
Hana gave him a strange look. "Why are you eating like a pig?"
"Han!" Mom shot her a warning glare as she filled his bowl and handed it back to him. "But it's better to eat in moderation... you usually don't eat this much."
Yunfeng grinned and, without a word, continued to devour his food. They didn't know it, but he was eating for two. The baby needed to be fed well. He had to force himself to eat another bowl. He even had to force down some of the side dishes, but it was good for the baby.
He gazed at his phone, his eyes widening. "Shit, I'm late."
"Where are you going?" Hana narrowed her eyes, suspicious.
"I'm not telling." He playfully tapped her forehead.
Frowning, Hana rubbed her head. "Wait... you! You're going on a date!"
Yunfeng's grin widened, but he refused to comment.
Hearing this, their mom's face momentarily shifted, but she quickly masked it.
"I have to get dressed," Yunfeng said, rushing up the stairs, leaving the two girls behind. Hana gave their mother a strange grin. "They're going to bone for sure."
"Lin Hana!"
"What? I'm only telling the truth, just like you taught me," she teased, escaping their mother's grasp and ran up the stairs.
Yunfeng hurriedly pulled clothes from his closet, trying them on one by one, but strangely, nothing seemed quite right. He wanted to stand out, to shine, just as much as Muchen. But his clothes felt too ordinary.
Sighing, he settled for a simple white shirt and blue jeans.
As he was changing, he glanced at his reflection in the mirror. "Is it just me, or... am I showing?" He touched his slightly bulging lower belly, a soft smile tugging at his lips. "Hi, baby. Mommy's going on a date with Daddy. We're going to have a lot of fun and eat some really good food. You just enjoy it in there, okay?" He gently stroked the bulge.
It had only been a few days, but he'd grown more attached to the baby than he'd realized. Maybe it was because of his omega tendencies, or maybe it was because this was Muchen's baby. He didn't know why, but he loved it.
He loved the child.
He gazed at his blushing reflection with a grin.
"He'll be a great father for sure... I just have to convince him that you're a good child," he whispered, his smile fading a little.
Shaking his head, he pushed the somber thought away and grabbed a snack bag.
He pulled out the huge carton of snacks his sister had given him and randomly stuffed a few inside.
By the time he was ready, he heard a car stop in front of the house.
He hurriedly ran to the window and looked down.
Muchen was waiting in the car, in full incognito mode with his mask and hat on. He lowered the window and waved at him.
His heart thudded just from looking at him. Strangely, he felt like he could smell Muchen's rosy fragrance from that distance.
'He's starting to smell really good. Ahhhh, why do I love him so much?' he thought, running down the stairs to the car.
Muchen got out and opened the door for him. "You look good," he whispered, a playful smile in his eyes.
Yunfeng winked at him. "You too."
"Please, I look like a stalker," Muchen said with a laugh, getting into the driver's seat. "But soon people will forget about me, and I can go out in the open with you."
Yunfeng happily slid into the seat. "Can't wait for that day."
