As soon as the plane landed, the plan worked out exactly as we had planned it. Adalia and I both looked as if we were random guards protecting Ismael.
At this moment we were preparing in one of his compounds. I just so happened to be arming myself in the weapons room.
It was a massive vault with different types of handguns, automatic weapons, knives. I was currently leaned against a table, cleaning my guns.
"What do you think of him?"
I didn't need to turn my head to know that Adalia was standing behind me. "I don't think anything of him," I said, continuing to clean.
She walked over to me and leaned beside me—crossing her shoulders in a way I'd seen Aleks do so many times before.
"Lorenzo," she started, "You know I don't believe that."
I slightly turned to her, before putting down my white cloth, "You don't have to believe it."
I started to put the handgun back together, the loud clicking noise as each piece was put back together relaxing my shoulders.
"So you have no thoughts on the man who is to be wed to the woman you love?"
"What would you like me to say?" I said pulling the safety off and aiming the gun at the wall, "I don't know him."
"I'd like you to speak your mind," she said, her eyes burning into me.
I sighed, tucking the gun back into my holster, "I think he's a suit," I said shrugging my shoulders, "And I'm a killer."
I turned to face her, "You're daughter—she's both. She's as cold and calculating as Mikhail and as deadly and precise as you. But, she wants this, she wants to run the mafia. I know that—I know her."
"Well," Adalia grabbed a M-16 from the wall, "Let's go get her and ask."
I smiled, "Let us."

I stared out of my hospital room window—my eyes unmoving from my reflection within it.
My hair had been trimmed down back to its medium messy blonde state. I had been meaning to slick it back, but my time trapped in this room, didn't account for many visits.
I had shaven my beard, now all that remained was smooth skin stretched across my strong jaw.
"I can't believe I'm not there."
"The only thing we can do now is stay out of the way, my son," he said.
I turned away from the window and faced my father, who was sitting on the chair in my hospital room, "Easier said than done," I retorted.
"True," he flipped over his Cartier watch, "They should be on their way to get her right now."
"They'll be fine. I trust Adalia," I said, "But five days captive," I ran a hand through my hair, "What hell has she been living through?"
"I've been assured that aside from a few bruises, she's been utterly untouched," he said, "They do still need her to be a presentable wife."
I rolled my eyes—I didn't even want to know how he knew that, "Something tells me she'd rather die."
"Da," he agreed, "She gets that passion from you."
"From me?"
"Yes," he began, "She's very much like you. Defiant, rebellious, arrogant-
"Thank you so much," I said sarcastically.
"Let me finish," he smiled, "You're both so arrogant, because you're good. She's a great shot, just like you. She'd move heaven and earth for the people she loves, just like you did. She'll be fine, Dmitri."
I smirked at him, "Us Petrov's are hard to kill, yes?"
"Da."

Guillermo had ordered me suspended by my wrists—I suppose it's his way of keeping me weak.
That was a mistake.
I began to swing back and forth, trying to muster up any strength left. After about the tenth swing, I swung forward at full force lifting my legs above my head and wrapped my legs into the chains.
I took a deep breath as the blood began to rush towards my head. It didn't matter very much, I was just glad to have the weight lifted off of my wrists and onto my legs.
Instinctively I removed a gold pin that had been in my hair since the charity gala, and began to pick the lock at wrists.
"What the hell are you doing?"
I lifted my head to see one of the larger guards from behind the cell bars inserting a key. Oh great.
I began to work faster and with one more turn, the locks were opened and I fell to my feet.
"Thank you for opening the door," I smiled at him, "That makes escaping much easier."
He lunged at me but I quickly rolled over avoiding his hands by mere centimeters. I'm slower than usual.
I shot up, my back against the wall, and started to size him up. He was more that six feet tall that was obvious, and even worse his muscles looked like they had muscles themselves.
I lifted my leg to kick him and just before my foot could connect with his face, he caught it, yanked me forward, and forcefully swung me back into the wall, faced forward.
Fuck that hurt.
I quickly recovered and turned around quickly enough to dodge a hand and I rolled to the other side of the cell.
Unfortunately it wasn't quickly enough, as I felt a large hand yank me by my hair. He flung me to the other side of the cell so I was far away from the door.
I had landed awkwardly on my wrists and I yelped out in pain. I staggered to my feet just in time to dodge his fist and I returned it with a punch to the nose, that hurt me much more than it did him.
I circled the cell looking for a way out and I took notice to the chains still dangling from the ceiling in the middle of the cell.
Perfect.
I took a spot against the wall and once her lurched for me I returned a quick kick to the face, he twisted, and as he staggered backwards, I used all the strength in my legs to somersault into the air and grabbing onto one of the chain and placed my thighs squarely onto his shoulders and cracked his neck.
We instantly collapsed to the floor as I rolled onto my back to protect my wrists. I laid on the floor for a minute, catching my breath.
I looked over to the guard, damn he was a big fucker.
I stood up, still taking deep breaths. Until I began to hear a small ticking nose. I frantically looked around and realized it must've been coming from the cell, so I ran outside and took shelter behind the bars, covering my ears with my hands, just before the exploded.
Once the cloud of dust subsided, I stood up hearing the noises of a chopper and saw a figure emerge out of the dust.
"Now what did I tell you Printcessa, I will always come back to you."
