Chereads / The Sister is a Male Succubus / Chapter 16 - Secrets?

Chapter 16 - Secrets?

After all that happened in a night, Sister Oriana was asked to take a break from working in the temple so she spent her whole day praying in the great hall. All those who enter the room and see the glowing white dress and veil alongside the black as-night hair, a smile forms on their faces and they would go to take a seat to pray with the sister.

Sister Oriana could sense a movement now and then but she kept her eyes closed the whole time. She wasn't moving pouring all her focus to get a reply from Archangel Uriel.

Archangel Uriel watched as her little demon pray since dawn, she wanted to talk to him but it was a bit hard because Archangel Michael didn't leave her side for a while now, he kept following her to every place she went. Yes, he had the right to worry after what happened, but it was getting bothersome, is that how it felt for children when their parents were overprotective of them?

"Michael?" He rose his head and rushed to her, he held her hands and looked at her waiting to hear whatever she had to say. She looked up at him with a gloomy face, he flinched and held her cheeks with his big hands. "Is everything ok?" He finally asked.

"Michael, why do you keep following me? The storm finally calmed and my child came back home. Why can't you leave now? I want to have privacy with my Wing and to-be Wing", Archangel Michael stared at her before he finally let go of her cheeks after rubbing them one last time, "are you sure this is a good idea? That thing-"

"He's not a thing! And you know nothing Michael! You might have been by God's side for the longest time, but you weren't thorough enough to know who Hun is!" He stared at her in horror, was there something he had been missing? But he's the most thorough Archangel of all, the proof of it is his memory to remember every single angel in Heaven.

He and Archangel Gabriel are the only two knowing everyone's name, that is how it was meant to be from the beginning. Archangel Raphael was limited to all names related to healing angels only, as for Archangel Uriel, she was limited to angels related to judgments and power balance.

"How? No- Wait..." Archangel Michael took a few steps away before he rushed out of the room with his face hidden by his hand. Cold Sweat formed on his forehead while his steps got bigger. He rushed to his quarter to check what he was thinking about was real, "could it be?" He mumbled.

"Phew" Archangel Uriel released a long sigh of relief, she was finally alone but for some reason, she still can't calm her beating heart, as if it was warning her about an upcoming bad news.

She patted her chest three times, took a deep breath, and release it three times too before she stood in front of her "phone", she watched Hun, aka Sister Oriana, working hard to get a connection with her until Archangel Uriel took pity on him. She closed her eyes and opened them to find in front of her the little demon.

"Ananiel? Ananiel, could you get me-" Archangel Raphael halted and put his hand on his lips before his shoulders drooped, "Oh."

"This- This is impossible!!" Archangel Micheal's body started trembling with the scroll between his hands, "how?!"

"How could I forget he's no longer an angel but a fallen one who became a demon?" The two said in sync. Archangel Raphael stood from his seat and held into the cover around his shoulders, "it has been so long since that happened... I hope he managed to escape that hell of a place and become someone better" he mumbled before the door to his room was knocked and Archangel Gabriel entered, she stared at him for a moment before reading the room and taking a seat.

She poured herself a cup of tea and glanced at Archangel Raphael who didn't move from his place yet, "Sometimes, I wonder why you and Archangel Michael remember nothing about the Fallen Angels." He mumbled to himself, nonetheless, Archangel Gabriel heard him. She wondered if she should answer his question, but remained silent for the time being until he looks back at her.

"You may talk Archangel Gabriel~" He turned to look at her complicated expression, she stared at him trying to decipher whatever he just said but decided to let things go... For this time at least.

She shook her head and slumped on the big sofa, Archangel Raphael finally decided to take a seat on the other sofa, "how was your day, Archangel Gabriel?"

"Exhausting as always. I'm the one who needs to wonder why we're unique compared to the rest of the angels. Is there a reason for us to contain extra emotions?"

"Who would lead the rest? Who would understand God's orders and interpret them? Who-"

"Augh!! Fine, I got it!!! sigh~" She threw her head back and gazed at the ceiling for a while before she stood from her seat, "I feel better now! I better go back to my position before they start crying"

"So you DID run away~ Hmm~?" He took a sip from his favorite porcelain cup while eyeing Archangel Gabriel who stood still in front of the door, "Raphael? Does your question has something related to what happened with that Demon?"

"Precisely~" He took another sip before putting the cup on the table. Archangel Gabriel watched his moves carefully finally understanding what he meant, "I'll go meet God and see what I can get!" She rushed out of the room sensing an approaching disaster.

"Hmm~ Seems I'm not the only one who senses the danger."

"It's good to see you again, Hun~" The black-haired Devil turned to face Archangel Uriel, the face he missed seeing so much!

"Archangel!? hic-! Waaaaaaah! Uwuuuuh"

"Oh, my dear child~ Why are you crying?"

"I- Hic- I was scared! And lonely! I- I thought I will go back to that place!" Archangel Uriel held him close to her chest filling his cold body with her warmth, "Shhh ~ It's ok, it's ok now~ You're safe here-"

"C- Can I stay here forever?! I'm afraid of what people will do to me!!" Archangel Uriel smiled warmly and kissed his forehead, she patted his head and back calming down every nerve in his body, "Someone will always be there for you my child"

"Someone? Who?" The Archangel giggled and hugged Hun again before sending his soul back to his body, "Don't worry~!! You'll know who once you see that person~!!! Hahhahahaha~"

His eyes opened slowly, he looked around before his legs finally decided to stand up. When he looked back, he saw a huge number of people in the hall, those who had no seats sitting on the floor, praying hard for Archangel Uriel's special blessing.

Someone heard the sound of a rustle and when he rose his head, he was faced with Sister Oriana's gorgeous face hidden under the white veil, "Sister Oriana!!" Everyone rose their heads and smiled at the sight in front of them. Sister Oriana understood what that meant, she was inches close to being blessed by divinity!!

"Everyone! Archangel Uriel spoke!! The next Wing will be chosen!!" The Archangel's Wing suddenly showed up and said, making tears fall on everyone's cheeks, happiness was clear on everyone's face but it was clearer on a certain face.

He stood from his seat and walked out of the temple, "Father!! Father Asher!!?" Sister Oriana called for him, "What is the matter, Sister?"

"I just wanted to say, thank you for everything, and thank you for being here on this important day~ It means a lot to me!! Hehehe!" He smiled and patted her head.

"I'm looking forward to meeting you after the Wings' training ends~"

"Yes! Do your best Father!"
