Tentacles sprouted as multiple areas of the carriage were covered with slimy purple flesh, the tentacles slowly grew out of the purple areas. These purple fleshy tentacles were actually produced by Enmu himself, he had mastered a high degree of flesh manipulation, although, in no comparison with Muzan, he could still manipulate his train body to produce these disgusting flesh appendages to attack opponents. Eira took a step back as she faced the disgusting creatures, her heart beat slowly, Kaze's purple aura danced behind her, Kaze's entire body filled with adrenaline and energy as he constantly restricted Enmu from regenerating any further than his already disturbing form. Eira looked back at Kaze a final time before she glued her eyes on the several tentacles that approached her swiftly, Eira took a deep breath and gripped her sword.
Ice Breathing. Seventh Form. Blistering Icicle.
Eira's legs tensed, and she launched herself towards the flesh appendages that grew from the train's floors. She travelled down the narrow carriage almost in an instant, her sword swiftly turned and rotated as she rocketed past Enmu's tentacles, they all got sliced into half in almost an instant. Eira's feet touched the ground, however, she did not slow down. She needed to find that weakness, her feet slammed on the wooden boards as the comforting purple aura of Kaze slowly grew more distant, and she was left with the unsettling deep blue that the train was coated with. Ever since Eira had learned that Enmu's body was the soul she couldn't stop noticing the train's obvious aura traced with sadism, her stomach turned with uneasiness. Eira swung her sword and her sword tore through the thin wooden door leading to the next carriage. The rough wind blasted through the newly made opening as the train rapidly sped across the moonlit train tracks. Eira jumped into the next carriage without touching the metal rail that connected the two carriages. Eira's paranoia mixed with anxiety as her eyes darted side to side looking for the so-called "weakness". Eira had just gone and ran off without a single idea of what a weakness could've been. Her eyes were glued to everything. Her mind hammered the same four words.
Where is it?
The lights? The doors? The seats? What could possibly be a train's weakness? Eira clenched her jaw and gripped on her sword tightly, she stopped right in the centre of a desolate carriage. The lights that hung from the low roof slowly swayed from front to back as the train reached higher levels of speed. Eira's heart thumped as she was overwhelmed with a sense of fear, she was being useless. She had a horrible fear that she was being useless and Kaze was going to die because she couldn't find the weakness quickly enough. Eira's head turned from left to right, from up to down. Her feet were glued to the spot she stood at, her breathing became quick and her eyes wide. Her hands slightly trembled at the sudden thought of Kaze in battle with Enmu, Lower Moon One. Her throat became dry as she gulped. She changed her mind, she turned her body back towards Kaze's distant purple aura. She took a step towards the purple aura but then her body turned again, her heart was rampant with activity. Eira's blue eyes sparkled and glistened with the slight reminisce of tears.
She changed her mind again, she needed to find the weakness quickly. The doors between carriages posed too much of an obstacle. She didn't even know which direction she should go, she didn't have time, she didn't have ideas. What did she have?! The unsettling blue aura crept into her brain as if the walls of the train closed in on her. Her head lit up with a lightbulb, she slowly closed her eyes and almost forced herself to calm down. She utilised her unique ability to sense auras, she could visualise the entire train coated in the dangerous deep blue that represented Enmu, a calm blue traced with sadism and cruelty. Somewhere in the mix, Kaze's purple sparked once in a while, Eira slowly pulled her sword out of the wooden boards and walked away from the sparks of purple, she hoped to find the core source of the unsettling blue. It was only after a mere five steps that it came into sight.
At the very front of the train, at the heart of the engine laid the overwhelming source. Eira's eyes opened quickly, her blonde hair flew in unison with her speed as she sprinted to the next door, her arm tugged it open, and the train shook and trembled as the train tracks shifted to the left slightly. Eira's heart thumped, and she stared at the narrow metal coupling that trembled as if it was on the verge of breaking. Her heart thumped as she placed her foot on the fragile object, her eyes searched for any easy way to the top of the train. If she travelled on top of the train it would save time and be much more efficient. A small metal ladder was placed hanging off the top of the carriage, Eira jumped and grabbed onto the cold metal, she pulled herself up with ease and was immediately confronted with a blast of vicious wind. She squinted as she found secure footing and sprinted towards the engine. It didn't take long for Eira, she was swift even in the most harsh conditions. She had made it, she was right on top of the engine, her whole body crawled with goosebumps and chills ran up and down her spine as she looked down at the thick metal roof.
Eira clenched her sword and swung it down violently at the roof of the engine room. A loud sound of metal clashing followed by a few sparks filled the cold night. Eira's sword only imposed a scratch on the strong metal, her eyes widened as she readjusted her grip. She swung again, the same outcome. Again. Again. Again. Tears were brought to her eyes, the cold wind dried her eyes. She felt her jacket flailing behind her. Her arms flexed as she swung down again, her annoyance increased every time her sword clashed. Her anxiety struck at her, she needed to be faster, stronger. Her arms trembled, the shock of striking metal with metal had an impact.
Eira closed her eyes.
"Mountain Gods. Lend me your strength. Lend me the speed of the hail, the power of storms and the toughness of the mountain." Eira prayed. Her arms tensed one final time and she swung down with all her strength. The metal wailed as Eira's sword cut right through, she had a small opening in which she tugged her sword using the cut to make a usable opening. Eira dropped down into the engine and was met by a big blue eye in a pile of flesh. Eira had a moment of brief realisation before her body lost all energy and fell into a deep sleep.
The beach. Waves crashed onto the sand and the sun shone brightly. Eira sat, her eyes wide and she stared at the horizon. A single tear rolled down her eye. The blueness of the sea matched her eyes. Another tear dropped. She slowly laughed, more tears flowed as her body trembled and she laughed into her hands. A laugh of pain. A laugh of agony.
"Get me out of here…" Eira spoke between her laugh. "Get… me out… Ali." A shadow appeared in front of her. Eira looked up and her vision was blurry through her tears.
"Why do you call for help? When I'm gone?" Ali's voice filled her eyes. Eira wiped her tears and Ali stood in front of her, he wasn't disfigured at all. Brown skin, wavy dark hair, those soft kind eyes that comforted her so much. Eira stared in shock, and her hands trembled.
"I'm gone Eira. Who are you really asking?" Ali's face started to crease and rip as if it were a papersheet in water. Ali's body grew and his nails became sharp, his eyes fell out of his sockets and his smile became twisted. His hand reached for Eira.
Eira's eyes opened instantly, she was still mid-air, the blue eye still in front of her, she immediately closed her eyes, her loose grip on her sword became firm.
Ice Breathing. Eleventh Form. Winter's Conclusion.
With Ali's image still vivid in her mind, Eira unleashed all her pent-up stress, all her existing guilt, all her boiling hate. Tears welled up in her eyes before her arms moved in a blur. Her arms moved rapidly, her blade ripped flesh, metal, coal whatever came into her blade suffered the inescapable wrath of Eira's eleventh form.
The train came to a grinding halt as Eira's blade cut through the neck bone she couldn't even see. A blood-curdling screech woke every creature in the surrounding forest, the train's wheels lit with sparks. Eira's body slammed into the wall as inertia failed her.
Enmu, Lower Moon One, had been defeated, by a girl so deep in misery and guilt, a girl whose attacks weren't even targeted at him, but a figment of her nightmares. Eira's eyes slowly opened, her body felt fatigued, the engine room had been flipped on its side, the train was completely off-track. Eira clutched at her shoulder as she slowly walked onto the dimly lit area that surrounded the train tracks, a strip of open land and then dense forest. She took a deep breath and looked to her side. Rengoku and Kaze both sprinted to her assistance.
"Eira!" Kaze put an arm around her, Rengoku stood beside them and observed the train while still glancing over at the two young slayers. Eira felt somewhat at comfort and secure with the two with her. She felt as if she could fall asleep right now.
"I was right to put my trust in you two. You two are the reason why out of the hundred or so people, no one was injured severely." Rengoku humbly showed his gratitude. Kaze immediately countered and they both got into a tennis match of a conversation about how the other contributed more.
"Please, I couldn't have defended the passengers like you did. Don't give us that much credit, you did all the work." Kaze stayed modest. Rengoku debated.
Eira shivered, but not because of the cold. Suddenly her fight or flight system activated again. She could feel that the aura of Enmu was gone, why did she still feel uneasiness? Her body developed chills.
She looked around at the desolate forest trees. Her eyes squinted in search of the source of that feeling.
A deep red aura bled in her mind and approached fast, intense, violent, and excited. She knew this aura, it was familiar. Where had she felt it before?
A loud boom sounded as a figure landed 10 metres to the right. Eira's mind went into overload as the extremely powerful aura even overpowered Rengoku's bright orange.
The dust settled and Eira's eyes went wide and she stumbled backwards, her soul itself shook with fear. Her heart seemed to stop. Akaza, Upper Moon Three stood before them, his extremely violent aura painted a deep active crimson, and his yellow eyes shone. It wasn't Akaza, Upper Moon Three, that Eira's heart stopped at. It was the aura that was shadowed, the person directly to the side of Akaza. Pale blue skin. Dark blue crescent patterns were randomly placed throughout his body. Wavy dark hair. The same kind and soft eyes, only a lighter brown and they seemed more pain than happiness as they stared back at the blue sparkling eyes.
Ali and Eira met eyes.
