The humans of MARC went to work. They split into groups. One group found a table that was just the right size. Another looked for a net. They found none, causing them to improvise with a narrow, long, and thin rectangular wooden board. A ball was picked from the several ball games of sports week, which had a similar size to that of a tennis ball.
Getting the bat was the most tricky. No object at MARC really fitted into what they wanted, so they had to make it. Calling a dwarf, who was known for his expertise in crafting, they described what he had to do. Once he confirmed he could easily accomplish it, they went on to bribe the worker at the carpentry to allow them to use his workshop. The dwarf began cutting and carving, hammering and polishing. And in ten minutes, they had their bats.
