Chapter 27 - Chapter 25 Louga and the mystic

Louga sneezed a thunderous sneeze and blood came out from his nostrils, his throat all the way down to the lungs felt painfully dry. Another sneeze was underway and He tried to stifle it, and it came out as a cough, bring more blood to his mouth. He could taste it in his mouth.

he tried to open his eyes but the eye lids glued together firmly, the air felt very dry and smell of dust; "dust!" he exclaimed in excitement and touch the ground he was sitting on and felt his hand touch sand, he could sense the wind blowing all around him. This could mean one thing; he is out of the solitary confinement, no! perhaps it's his mind playing games on him.

No, He could hear the profound sound of nature buzzing and bustling around him, a cacophony of sweet music seducing his wiry ears and he could sense the day light surrounding him. Its true his is finally out in the open, a happening that seems doubtfully impossible not so long ago in the dungeon…. so how did it happen? Louga wondered.

"stopped trying very hard to open your eyes, the light will stink the eyeballs anyway, just give it a little more time… it will open, and you will need time to adjust, the whole body will need that very much" a voice said coolly,

louga sense a presence close by yet it seems faraway. "who are you?" louga asked very alert now, "some called me the mystic, others called me oracle…. But I am none, as a matter of fact, who I am is of no consequence, what I do with you is all that matters now" the man replied in a mesmerizing tone. Louga became more alarmed now; he is in a helpless situation; he didn't even know where the man was standing exactly…. Whoever he was, he is powerful and very sure of what he is doing, "are you the one who saved me from the dungeon?" "no! I am the one who put you there…" "but you're not Tygon" louga pursued "no, if I was you would have been dead by now" the man answered sarcasm clearly in his voice.

Obviously asking the man too many questions will lead nowhere; it's evident that the man is completely in charge, he incarcerated him to save him from Tygon, to what end, what exactly does he want? If there is such a person in Zanka, who can act above the jurisprudence of the king himself. Then one must be extremely careful around such a person.

The last thing louga remembers in the prison was falling into a deep hallow hole in his meditation. He would probably have died had the mystic not come to his aid. Albeit; he wants to be a totally free, owing this man for the sovereignty of his life made him feel uneasy. The man can do with him as he pleases, he has to find a way to get out this….

"your thoughts are too loud boy, there is no way out of this… don't you understand what is going on here? You can't run from me, you can't hide from me, you can't escape from the mess you've created, like a pig you follow your base desires, something that nearly got you killed, I put you in that place not as a punishment but to prepare you for what is coming…. and there is no escape from that…. I will leave you alone now in this place, very soon your eyes will open, and adjust well to light. In a full moon cycle your body will be well nourished, there is abundant food to keep you going, till we meet again, learn to be with yourself" and silence followed louga was waiting to hear more, but nothing came, clearly the man was long gone.

He stood up from the ground…. And a thought hit home, making his inner world spin around him and he fell back to the ground. How could he have forgotten about her, Zoree! She is probably dead now; his tears started to flow in rivers wetting his waxed closed eyelids. He cried for their love, and its miserable short ending, he cried for his inability to protect her, he cried for all the things he could've done to stop this from happening.

In the midst of all that he found his eyelids begin to give way… then he opens it slowly. Right in front of him stood mud structure, with hay roof. He got up and walked to the already open door and stepped inside, the room felt cozy and comfortable; it had a wooden partition dividing it into two separate living rooms and a cooking area well stocked with food and smoked meat.

Louga was already starving; he eats some smoked meat along with fresh vegetables, and drink enough water. He then walked to the soft grass bed and lay down, afraid to close the open door. His heavy dizzy eyes fixated on the fading sun in the horizon, the last thing on his mind keeping him safe as he drifted off to sleep.
