If there is any place in Cygon Naaga feels at home and welcomed, then it is Wagara, partially because king Kidzar appreciates his efforts and rewarded him accordingly. And Naaga delivers every time, knowing he will be well. His only problem with this king Kidzar of Wagara is his extreme politeness.
Many a time Naaga wonder whether the man has any self-interest; yes, off course; he loves accumulating wealth, and with it, he secures more power. And like him, Naaga love both.
As a diplomat of kumta to all tribes of Cygon, Naaga is always welcomed in all the royal courts, and they held him in a high esteem. What most of them never suspect in the well-mannered refined gentleman is the filth of death that follows him everywhere he goes. No amount of water can clean the stain of blood in his soul.
Naaga from the brotherhood of assassins was special in his task, to the extent that he sometimes uses his wits and actions to bring people to ruin without lifting an arm. In rare instances he has fortune smiling at him by unexpected turn of events. With Zanka the results always remain the same. In two masterful strokes, he had killed two kings in that kingdom.
He had kills Tygons father right in front of the man without anyone ever suspecting. With the death of Tygon, fortune had smiled on him again. when he looked at the whole undertaking, the execution was flawless.
Now Zanka, the supreme kingdom of Cygon had no ruler, with the king dead and his heir to the throne on exile, kumta and the allies will move in to take charge. Kidzar in particular will be ecstatic to learn Tygon is finally out of the picture; for his enmity for the man goes deep. A personal hatred born out of vengeance, so much so that the mere mention of Tygons name always get Kidzar gnawing his teeth in frustration.
......…
King Kidzar, sat on his large lion skins mat, in the middle of the main palace hall. The soldiers surrounding him were at a distance, so that none could hear the conversation he was having with the two guests from Npunga. for a rich man Kidzar is simple and down to earth. No gaudy clothes or golden thrones. If the man had any vice, then it's his hunger for amassing wealth he never will never have time to spend. what did Tygon do to make this humble man go haywire? Naaga contemplated as he approaches Kidzar.
The soldiers parted to give way to Naaga; his presence exude a power they can easily feel. It's always been like this anywhere he found himself. the sixth sense of the human animal is that strong, at the primal level, it is sharp and accurate and can pick up subtle vibrations not so apparent to the naked eye. You might as well give off a powerful aura to keep off other sneering predators in close proximity.
Naaga had tapped into this power through killing, an accumulated power of all the souls that loses their last breath under his hands. To him killing is a sacrilege that usher a man into a higher spiritual realm, for a human life is worth that much. Naaga knew the way he thinks is insane and so different from the way other people thinks, well; not a lot of people do the kind of things he does.
On seeing Naaga, Kidzar stopped abruptly in mid-sentence, only to signal him to come join them… they have been waiting for him. Naaga sat in front of Kidzar without looking at the other two guests that were with the king before he arrived, he already knows them, and knew the reason why they are here. A servant poured Naaga some fresh brew of steaming coffee and he nodded in thanks
"my humble greetings your highness…." Naaga started and Kidzar responded with a quite nod, encouraging the man to continue …knowing Naaga always cut to the core of issues rather than beat about the bush, actually he knows the reason why Naaga came.
"I sincerely apologize for not returning to Wagara with the prince Dzar, he seems to have disappeared right at the time Tygon loss his head. For Ghandaa; he never showed up at the rendezvous…. A treacherous sign, for the man wants the throne of Zanka just as much as you do…" Naaga ended and sharpen his observation, waiting patiently to see whether Kidzar will pick the bait.
"no! Naaga; I never tell you no such thing, I want the man on the throne and not the throne, don't you get that? I used Ghandaa to help me get to Tygon with the help of you and your brothers… and they were telling me an intriguing story before you came. For Dzar, you need not worry about him, he is grown enough to find his way back home, by now he is on an adventure of some sort"
Naaga turned to look at his brothers; Zagabo and Kanka, waiting for them to continue the fascinating story Kidzar was talking about. Zaga continued "like I was saying… Jhanka lives, he never died in the flames, Ghandaa catch up with him by the mother river with a white female creature, perhaps from the water, for she looked pale like a thing from the water, her hair when it reflects the light, as Bondaa the ugliest described looks like the yellow stone of Zanka when it shines forth."
"but now Ghandaa is the one in captivity, probably dead by now, he kills Jhanka with a spear at a time half the tribe already bowed before the white one in support of Jhanka" Kanka added
"are you certain Jhanka is dead this time?" Naaga asked curiously, Kanka stammered before replying "well, we all saw him went down with a spear buried in his chest, I don't think he can survive"
"so you are not certain?" Kidzar asked "there was so much chaos in Npunga afterwards, we never really stick around to make sure he died" Zaga replied. Naaga looked at the two dummies with contempt and added "the man had walked through fire and came out alive, don't you think a spear will probably give him but a scratch? You two should have stick around to performed the last rights of Jhanka, and make sure the earth becomes his eternal abode, now you tag your tails between your legs and run to Wagara like two scared puppies" Kidzar couldn't help but laugh at Naagas outburst.
Naaga stood up and excuse himself, he had a long way to cover, the creed awaits his returned. Kidzar didn't pick the bait. The man is more cunning than he thought. Had he show any interest in the throne of Zanka, he would have been a dead man before the next full moon. But on a personal level, Naaga despise the man all the same for he wanted Tygon dead to equalize a personal vendetta.
For his brothers, the two novices Zaga and Kanka, he knows they were dead men, divulging a sensitive information outside the creed is a deadly offense against all that it stands for; perhaps they have been deluded by the favors of the tribe lords, they have forgotten where they truly belong.
The thing bugging him now is the white creature this two morons are talking about…. a white woman they mean, he had heard of such living beings in his travels, but he never belief a thing anyone says until he sees things for himself.
