Alejandro woke up to see Cecilia and her baby. She sat with the baby girl on her lap. When she saw Alejandro's eyes open, she was so excited, she carried her daughter properly so she could come closer to her Alejandro, she tried to hold his hand but he pulled it back. He looked at her with so much confusion, he could not recognize her.
"Who are you, woman?" He asked her. He spoke very clear and eloquent English, his wife Cecilia was amazed, she looked at him and with her hand, she wiped her face to see if she was seeing clearly, it was her husband, why did he ask him such a question? She pondered, and she also thought of how he managed to speak much English, her husband that she knew was an illiterate who can not construct a clear sentence. He just spoke English to her and he was perfect with it.
"My husband, you can speak this good?" she asked him, but he was even more confused when she called him husband, he look like she irritated him.
"Hold it, woman, where am I? And who is your husband?" he asked her.
"Alejandro, it is I Cecilia, this is our daughter Shania." she tried explaining but he interrupted her.
"Alejandro? No, I am not Alejandro, I am Charles, Chief Charles Obiefuna, the founder of the Obiefuna Empire. What are you talking about woman?" he asked her. She looked at home with so much shock, she could not comprehend a thing from him. So she stood up and scream out, she called out to the doctors and nurses for help.
"Nurse!!! Doctor, pls come, I do not know what is wrong with my husband, please come and help us." she cried and some nurses ran with the doctor after them.
"What is the problem, madam? He was stable before now" the doctor asked.
"I don't know, please check him, he is not ok, he does not remember any of us, he is talking like a madman." so she said with tears gushing out of her eyes.
"Thank God you are here doctor. Please, where am I, where is this, and how did I get here?" Alejandro asked the doctor, but the village doctor actually had no time to respond to his questions, and he just asked the nurses to sedate him.
"is that how you work here? You just sedate people anyhow? Do you know who I am? I will sue you." he said to the doctors, but he still paid no attention to what he was saying, he only wondered how he managed to speak so well. When Alejandro saw that the nurses were really serious about the sedation, he became scared and apprehensive.
"No, you can't sedate me with so much dosage. It's too high for an old man like me." he pleaded.
It was only when he said this that the doctor had to turn to him, he looked at him, then turned to the nurses and laughed. The doctor exhibited a very high level of inexperience and professionalism.
"You think yourself as old?" he asked and busted into laughter, both him and the nurses. Then he turned to Cecilia.
"How old is he please?" Cecilia looked at the doctor in confusion, she do not even know her own age, how could she possibly know the age of her husband?
"I do not know Sir, but I think he should not be very old " she said naively.
"you can imagine, illiteracy." the doctor said.
"Me Doctor, I am not her husband, I have never seen this woman before. I am an old man, I have a daughter and a five at home, and they are certainly not these people. I will reward you handsomely if you show me the way home." Alejandro said to the doctor with so much confidence.
"Ok, this is what we will do. Me..."
"Chief Charles Obiefuna. CEO Obiefuna Enterprise," he responded.
"Hmm... Chief, hahaha" he said with a pearl of laughter.
"Ok, this is what we will do. Nurse, go and get me the mirror in the lab. Bring it, I think this madman will have to explain to me why he thinks he is old." the doctor said. And a nurse rushed out to the lad for the mirror.
When she left Alejandro stood up from the beg where he was laid, he pushed out the wrapper used in his covering exposing his beautifully built body, the nurses there could not afford to take their eyes off his body as he stood up. He was a very tall man, slim but very masculine, his dark skin was like a time blend of milk, honey and burnt chocolate. His masculine chiselled face with very profound simplest made him look like he was flirting even when he had little or no reason to.
"Oh my God, he is so cute." so the nurses said.
He was still buried in his heavy facial hair and he was still that cute.
In no time the nurse came in, she almost tripped at the sight of Alejandro who was bare-chested, but still in his dirty ripped white trousers. Which he was supposed to be buried in.
"Here you go, you speak like one with sense, look at yourself and tell me how old you feel you are." The doctor said to him with sparks of laughter all over his face.
Alejandro took the mirror, and he was shocked at what he saw. Everyone in the ward was terrified due to how he expressed his shock, he tossed the mirror away with a scream, and he was so terrified.
"What manner of sorcery is this? What did you do to me? Who do this to me?" he cried with his hands scrubbing his face, it was only recently that he noticed his body, he looked at his stomach, and it was very strong and cracked. He looked at the faces of everyone, then he fell to his knees and started picking the pieces of the mirror, he kept on trying to take a pick on them, but he looked as if he was scared of himself, it was only then that the doctor had to agree with Cecilia.
"You are right madam, your husband has lost it, now hold him down we have to sedate him." The doctor said, he was so sure that Alejandro was mad. Together they wrestled him down to the bed and forced the injection.
In no time, Alejandro dozed off to sleep.
"Ha! This man is full of mystery, we are complaining that he was raised from death, and he is here speaking queens English, and Madam, are you sure that your husband did not school abroad?" he asked.
"He did not school anywhere? He had never been to any class, all my husband is good at is his cocoa farming. He knows no English, I am as shocked as you are, sir." Cecilia said.
